Compatibility of Draw-Tite # 24865 Class I Trailer Hitch With 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid
Question:
Are there any special adjustments required when installing the hitch for a 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid or is it the same as the regular Fusion? Does the battery interfere with the installation?

My Draw-Tite representative confirms that the # 24865 Class I hitch you referenced is compatible with your vehicle. The fact that your Fusion is the Hybrid model will not affect the installation. The battery will not interfere with the installation.
If you're planning on doing some light duty towing, and your owner's manual doesn't prohibit towing, the Draw-Tite # 24865 would be a good choice. You will need the recommended ball mount. You'd also need to add a trailer wiring harness, part # 118422 and the appropriately-sized trailer ball, like # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or # 19258 for a 2 inch ball.
I've linked to an install video, plus to some other helpful videos and articles.
