The only part of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13398 that will be visible once installed on your 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will be the receiver tube opening. Therefore, the majority of the hitch will actually be hidden. I do have an install photo of this which I have attached for you. This however is the only photo I have for you.

As of yet, we haven't had the opportunity to install the Curt Class I receiver hitch, part # C11476 on a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer. The correct vehicle wire to connect to the red input trigger wire on a brake controller like the Primus IQ # TK90160 is the wire at the COLD side of the brake light switch. This means the wire that carries power ONLY when you press the brake pedal on the vehicle and at no other time.
Use of a circuit tester like # PTW2993 makes this easier. I checked with my contacts at Tekonsha and on a 2016 Outlander the wire you want is usually brown. I still recommend testing to be sure. view full answer...

I attached a help article that covers how to route the power wire of a powered harness like the part # 118538 up to the battery of the vehicle. If you cannot find a hole in the firewall you can drill one or you can route wire to the outside of the vehicle in the rear of it and then run the wire up along the underside of the vehicle to the battery.

If you were to try and use this refrigerator outdoors the oil inside the compressor can thicken which would then lock up the motor. To find the front connection point for wiring harness # 118518 first, locate the vehicle battery under the hood of your 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander. It should be on the driver side. You will need to move it rearward as much as possible, or completely remove it, to gain access to the area behind the headlight.

The Roof Rack Cargo Bag, Weather Resistant, # HE3021, can be placed on the roof of your Mitsubishi Endeavor, or, on the cross bars that run side to side. The soft cloth base will prevent scratches to the paint on the roof. Make sure the roof and bottom of the bag are clean and free of any debris to help prevent scratches.

The power wire for your Tow Ready T-One Vehicle 4-Pole Wiring Harness # 118518 should be located behind the driver-side headlamp as you note and as illustrated in the linked video. If you refer to the 1:23 mark in the linked video you'll see where our installers found the vehicle harness after removing the battery from a 2007 Outlander.

Dirty or corroded weld nuts on vehicle frames that prevent hitch bolts from threading are actually pretty common. Especially on vehicles that have seen a few winters.
