We don't have a video showing installation of Curt trailer wiring harness # C56296 for the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander but I have linked the installation instructions. It will install basically the same way as # 118277 which we do have a video for and I have linked it. The video is on a 2016 but the install process will be the same for a 2018.
Both of these wiring harnesses are for models that came with the factory tow package. The easiest way to determine if your Outlander has the factory tow package is to have the dealer run the vehicle VIN. They should then be able to tell you how the vehicle is equipped. If the vehicle does not have the factory tow package then I recommend # 118482 which plugs in line with the vehicle tail light wiring.
