Installation and Accessories for the Curt Class 3 Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Hitch # 13223
Question:
wanting to install a trailer hitch onto my Mitsubishi Montero Sport 02 and not sure what all i need to purchase other than the Curt class 3 Frame Trailer Hitch. i.e. Ball mounts, etc Can you please advise? Also, in regard to installation, what will I need to do? Thanks

With the Curt Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver Hitch, # 13223, you will also need to hard wire your vehicle with the 4-Pole Hardwire Kit, # 119178KIT.

Other accessories include the Class III Drawbar 3/4 inch Rise or 2 inch Drop , # C45010.
For balls I recommend the Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Ball Set, # 900B, especially if you are not sure what you might be towing.
I also recommend our stainless-steel receiver lock, # e98882, to secure the ball mount in the receiver.
In terms of installation for the hitch I have included a link to the instructions. You will be looking at an install time of about 40 minutes with no drilling required. We rate the difficulty at a 4 which translates into not very much difficulty for the average do-it-yourselfer.
