I would recommend the Draw-Tite Class II, part # 36426. When we installed it on a 2008 G6, we found that the distance from the receiver hitch pin hole to the furthest rearward point of the rear bumper was about 6 inches.

But first, you are going to want to consult the vehicle owners manual to determine if the vehicle can be flat towed and if there are any special requirements. We have just what you are looking for to replace the wheel of your Demco Tow Dolly with the part # DM11574 for just the wheel or part # DM5965 for the wheel and tire! A standard trailer wheel like the # AM20364 will not work as it doesn't have the correct offset which is why you have to use the Demco wheel options.

Since kayaks vary considerably in size and weight I suggest that to start you check your G6 owners manual or consult with your local dealership to verify the roof weight-bearing capability for your vehicle.
