Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Replacement Clamp Assembly for the Yakima SlimShady Rollout Awning. Now this part here will replace the clamp assembly on your Yakima SlimShady Rollout Awning. That awning we do sell separately on our website, it's part number Y07409. And the SlimShady Awning does come with two of these clamp assemblies when you purchase it.
So if you happen to lose one or damage one, this one will be a replacement for that. Basically, this clamp is what the awning will attach to, and then it'll clamp onto the crossbar of your vehicle. This part is for a quantity of one clamp assembly. You can see just by turning that, it'll open up the clamp. And then once you to get it on your crossbar, just go ahead and tighten it down.

Replaces the clamp assembly for your Yakima SlimShady roll-out awning (Y07409).These are decent replacement clamps, high quality, and compatable with Yakima’s lock cores.
However, these lack security, thus the one star review. Yes they do accept the Yakima lock cores but theres nothing keeping someone from loosening the exposed hex bolt, which secures the bracket to the clamp assembly, and sliding it out. I’ll never truly feel that my awning wont be stolen.
Everyone makes mistakes, but when a company fixes them as fast as etrailer, that saids alot. I ordered two Yakima clamps and the hardware to install my Yakima slim shady. One of the clamps did not come with the original packaging. I contacted etrailer and they had it shipped out fast. I received the clamp within three days, just in time for our be camping trip! Thank you etrailer and I will be shopping with you again, real soon
Item was broken out of the box. I contacted etrailer and was told there is no warranty. I was offered the ability to buy another at full cost which is ridiculous. Do not buy any products from etrailier or you will be at risk on your own..

This is a perfect replacement for my Yakima Skyrise Medium rooftop tent. It fits perfectly. Shipping was quick and the parts were packaged well.
There perfect for the job
I've been looking for an easy on easy off bracket for my rooftop tent. This product fits the bill. I was tired of wrenching down nuts in an awkward position. This product allows for easy tightening. In addition, my roof top rails are an oval shape and most rooftop tent brackets accommodate either round or square rails. This bracket provide a firm tight grip on my oval rails.
I needed a small (4.5' wide) awning for my truck. Most awnings come with L brackets to attach to your rack. I wanted something that was more secure, looked better, and provided easy on/off.
The Yakima Slim Shady mounting bracket and replacement clamp are perfect. Highly recommend.
Your product was excellent … an exact match for the "Yakima" product. I only wish that I could have bought just the small barrel bolt adjust mechanism located within the plastic clamp housing, which came loss and fell out sometime alone the way, rather than having to buy the entire plastic assemble unit. The adjustment bolt is the one thing that is mostly likely to be lost over time. Delivery of the product was vary expedient.
Worked out well and fast shipping... I only wished it came with the yakima locks and keys then it would've been perfect!!
This will be perfect. Now, I just have to find the right size bracket to mount on my awning

I purchased this to mount an ARB awning. Unfortunately, it did not fit. The build quality is as expected of any Yakima product, which is excellent.
Product works as expected, but big shout out to etrailer for the EXCEPTIONAL customer service when I had questions. A model for the industry. Don't ever change!
when I assembled my awning for the first time I noticed the seam was unravelling where it was sown. I have photographed the damage and will be sending the photo in order to get the fabric replaced. Otherwise, everything was in good order.

Had to do a little modification to mount the awing brackets...
