There is no reason why you could not use a hitch on your G6 GTP. The Draw-Tite Class II Receiver Hitch, part # 36426 is a fit for either the coupe or the sedan. The hitch has a towing capacity of 3500 lbs, and a tongue weight capacity of 300 lbs.

I would recommend checking your owners manual for information regarding the vehicle towing capacity, you will not want to exceed this capacity.

You will also need a the recommended draw bar for this hitch, part # 36065, a pin and clip part # PC2 and the wiring, part # C56013. You will also need the appropriate trailer ball with 3/4 inch diameter shank for your trailer. If you need a 2 inch ball, use part # 19258 or part # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball(the required size should be stamped on the coupler).
