The Hopkins RV Leveling Kit uses durable wood (not included) to support your RV during leveling. Plastic leveling blocks sink into soft surfaces and can bend easily when your heavy RV is on top of them. This can lead to the blocks cracking or even breaking, which can cause damage to your RV's wheels and axles. The ramps used in the Hopkins leveling kit attach to lumber to create thick, sturdy supports for your RV that won't bend or break.
The Hopkins RV leveling kit can be easily customized to fit your RV's wheels. This is because it uses 2x8 lumber (actual dimensions: 1-1/2" x 7-1/4") that you cut to size. For the best fit, place the wheel docks on either side of one of your RV's tires, so that your wheel sits between them. Measure from far edge to far edge of each dock and cut the lumber to that length. This board will become the top leveling block. If you have a tandem-axle setup, the board will need to be cut to accommodate both wheels.
After measuring and cutting the lumber, attach the wheel docks to each end of the board with the included screws. Unlike traditional leveling blocks, which typically don't have tire stops built in, the block that is made with the wheel docks keeps your tire from rolling forward or backward off of the leveler.
The length of the other 2 leveling blocks will be based on the length of the top leveler. To create the middle leveler, just cut the board to be 6-1/4" longer than the top piece. The bottom leveler will need to be 12-1/2" longer than the top board. Attach the treaded ramps on top of the boards on each end with the included screws.
The included electronic Smart Level is specifically designed to work with the Hopkins leveling ramp kit to make leveling your RV or trailer as simple as possible.
Each red light that appears on the Smart Level means that 1 leveling block from the kit must be added on that side of your RV or trailer. No extra calculations or guesswork - simply read the display and add the blocks that you need.
Each leveling block adds 1-1/2" of increased height for a maximum of 4-1/2" of additional height. Begin by using the top board (the shortest board). Place it in front of the wheel on the side of the RV that you need to raise. Slowly drive your RV up the leveler and over the plastic wheel dock.
Once the wheel is set in between the 2 docks, check the Smart Level to see if the RV is level. If your RV is still too low on that side, reverse off of the leveling block and add the middle block. To do this, set the top leveling block between the 2 treaded ramps on the middle block, nesting it in place. Then drive back onto the levelers until your tire is between the wheel docks. Check your RV's level. Add the third block if necessary.
Once your RV is level, the middle green light on the Smart Level will illuminate. At this time you can secure the tire on the opposite side of your RV with the included wheel chock.
The Smart Level's display is hinged, so it can be used for both front-to-back and side-to-side leveling. When the level is folded in alongside the RV, it will measure front to back. Swing the level out so that the display is perpendicular to your RV, and it will measure side to side. The hinge also allows you to swing the level out 180 degrees so that it can be seen from the driver's seat using your rearview mirror.

Wasn't right for me. The amount of wood required to make these work was impractical for use (too heavy and too long). Again, for the occasional vacation use, the Smart Level wasn't practical. Battery would die and required a screw driver to replace. And since it's attached on one side of the trailer, it wasn't always visible if the truck was at an angle to position the coach. Overall quality products but just not the best option for my use.
Not worth the money, leveler bubble in the center of the lines BUT red lights show not level. Boards are good when trying to level in a very unlevel area, but when less then 1" is needed, boards are useless. Level unit is loose on the side of the trailer, must hold up to try to use.
This is a good product overall, however the plastic wheel stop piece did not hold up well and easily cracked so I no longer use it.
I haven’t used this product yet, but giving it five stars based on the quality and instructions that come with it. Also, it fits in my Northern Lite camper “basement” which saves space I didn’r Want to give up. Also, acknowledgement to etrailer's customer service for their response for an issue I thought I had. One of the pieces was nested in another and I thought it was missing. Credit to my wife as well. Greg at etrailer called on Saturday and was going to contact the manufacturer, but wifey discovered my mistake Sunday, so I called etrailer and Greg answered the phone! So we cleared it all up and an old dog like me got to deal with real customer service instead of a call center in India or somewhere. Thanks for your attention. And thanks to etrailer for keeping it real.
The electronic level is very inaccurate because of the inadequate way it is attached to the trailer. I would not recommend this product, however the leveling blocks work great.
The product itself worked good. Used them several times and they worked well.
My only problem was that my RV has dual axles which made the 2x6's long and when you get 6 of them together they become bulky and heavy. Would work a lot better for single axle RV's. I still use the Electronic LED Smart level and it works great, I just use it with a pair of the Anderson Camper leveler 3604.
Ordered these for an upcoming trip but when the package arrived it was missing parts. Contacted support and they rushed them out for me and shipped them in time for my trip.
Love the ease of being able to see if the camper is level while backing in then easily level the camper following the guide lines of the level.
Just put all the treated lumber and brackets as per instructions I have a single axle trailer, looks good and levels up nice. I will take some pictures and post this weekend. Etrailer thanks for the quick delivery on everything you have sent out to us.

Purchased these and bought a 2X8 to mount them on but have not cut the 2X8 and mounted. The concept of the levels is great but I have a problem with the room they are going to take up in the storage compartment. On my third trip and have had to level the side one time and used a different product. Will mount when I return from my current trip and update this review.
This Hopkins RV Leveling Kit will do a good job of leveling the new Rockwood Mini-lite that I just recently purchased. I am sure getting the kit with the electronic level was worth the wait.
As described will be using on my Octane lite toyhauler.

I give the leveling blocks a excellent rating. The electronic unit has one flaw that made me rate it lower. The case is too flexible and the weight of the unit when extended out for side to side measurements is enough to throw the reading off. Other than that, it works as expected.
The system works very good. The lights are easy to see from the driver's seat and take the guess work out of which side needs to be raised and by how much. The only down side is that the boards take up some space in storage.
Product shipped quickly and arrived two days earlier than tracking indicated. The product met all expectations. I will use etrailer again.
Looking forward to p.o putting product to use. Did set it all up, and had questions about the level. Called Customer Service and they were very helpful, and solved my dilemma within a couple of minutes. Thank you.
This kit is a great tool. one I carry in my truck bed all the time.
Just received it today. Once I saw my brothers in action I bought one too.

I have owned this and used it for a year now.I like the kit very much and it works great. I do recommend removing the level from the side of the trailer when towing it or you will be missing the folding cover when you reach your destination. I forgot to remove it one time and now have no cover.
Out of the box with easy instructions. Can’t wait to use the system this weekend.

Working great
Item was out of stock. I was kept informed about possible ship date. The credit card authorization had expired because of the wait. Very happy with the product.
Great system. I used 10x12 and was able to level my 5th on very uneven ground.
Just got it. Put a battery in and checked it out. I think this will do the job well. It is very easy to read and install. Nice product!
