Recommended Leveling System for 4,800 Pound Travel Trailer

Question:

Hello, I recently purchased a 24foot travel trailer with a 4,800lb GVW. This has factory mounted stabilizer jacks, but I would like to add something to level the trailer rather than using boards/blocks etc. I noticed you sell some scissor jacks up to 7500lb capacity, but the description still indicates they are not intended to lift a trailer. Is there no trailer jack that is safe to lift one side of the trailer to level it for use?

I may have a solution for you, however as you mentioned in your question, leveling jacks like the Ultra-Fab Scissor Jacks # UF48-979002 are not designed to lift the trailer, but to simply stabilize a portion of its weight. There is not a trailer jack type leveling system currently available that is designed to actually lift the trailer.

I instead recommend looking at the Andersen Camper Wheel Chock and Leveler # AM3604. This is a great system that works as both a wheel chock and leveler at any increment from 1/2 inch to 4 inches. It will work on trailers up to 30,000 pounds, so it will have no problem supporting the 4,800 pound GVW of your travel trailer.

Something like the FasTen RV Leveling Blocks from Camco # CAM44512 is another great product to look at. These are interlocking, stackable blocks that you will simply position beneath jacks, stabilizers or the wheels on your trailer.

I have attached video reviews of these products so you can get a better idea as to how they work
