This trailer-end connector gives you the functionality of a 7-way, but without any pins or blades to bend or break. It's designed to work with a matching EZ Connector socket (sold separately) to create a secure, watertight connection that lasts. Strong magnets in both the plug and the socket keep the connection tight and secure, even when you're driving on rough terrain. Built-in O-rings create a seal to keep out water and debris. And spring-loaded, face-to-face electrical contacts are long-lasting and easy to clean. These factors combine for a strong, durable connection that's easy to use and to maintain.
The EZ Connector system uses magnets inside the plug and socket to hold the connectors together. Simply insert this trailer-end plug into the vehicle-end socket (sold separately) and the internal magnets will snap them together, no latch needed. To disconnect, just pull the plug out by hand.
This is an improvement over typical trailer connectors, which rely on a plastic latch on the socket lid to hold the trailer plug in place. With any trailer connector it can be easy to forget to disconnect the wiring when you unhook your trailer. If you drive off without disconnecting a standard 7-way plug, the connector will get pulled out of the socket, likely tearing off the lid. Without a lid, the electrical terminals are exposed to damaging moisture and debris. But if you forget to remove the EZ Connector plug when unhooking your trailer, the plug will simply disconnect from the receptacle as you drive off.
The magnet inside of this trailer connector is made of neodymium, an extra-strong, rare-earth alloy. This high-quality magnet ensures a tight connection between the connectors that is stable enough to make it through intense bumps and road vibration.
This trailer plug has 2 silicon O-rings that create a watertight seal when the plug is inserted into the vehicle-end socket (sold separately).
A storage holder is included with this trailer-end connector to keep the plug safe and dry when it's not in use. This holder conveniently attaches to your trailer so that it is always available when you need it. This ensures that the terminals on this trailer-end plug stay protected from moisture and debris at all times.
All of the EZ Connector systems have earned a perfect score on the SAE water submersion test. This means that the seal created between this plug and the EZ Connector vehicle-end socket will stay watertight, even if the connector is completely submerged in water for extended periods of time.
This EZ Connector plug has spring-loaded, face-to-face electrical contacts instead of pins or blades. Pins and blades can bend, corrode, and even break off, which can lead to a permanently damaged connection. With the EZ Connector system, there are no pins or blades to bend or break. Because there are no pins or blades, there are also no pin sockets on this connector that can trap debris. And if any dirt or debris does collect on the terminals of either end of an EZ Connector setup, it can be quickly and easily wiped away. No more scraping pins to get grime off. The result of all of this is a quality, effective connection every time you plug in.

Speaker 1: Today, we're going to look at the EZ Connector magnetic extension cord with the seven way trailer connectors and the four foot long cable and a built-in seal for the trailer end. Now, this trailer end connector will allow you to connect your trailer to your vehicle to power your trailer's brake and signal lights. They use a powerful rare earth magnet right here in the plug, and that'll join with the magnet in the EZ Connector vehicle end socket that we sell separately to keep your connection secure. The plugs will stay tightly connected, despite any bumps or vibrations that are common with towing.If you notice, the contacts are face to face electrical contacts. There's no pins or blades to bend or break. This will eliminate any concerns about electrical arcing and abraded pins.
The contacts, being flat, are very easy to clean when necessary. This is ideal for marine applications. If you notice on the plug itself, it has double o-rings on it, which will create a nice watertight seal with socket to keep out moisture and debris. It does use a water block powder in the cable that keeps moisture away from the wiring.It's a very simple installation. It basically just hard wires to your existing wiring using the included butt connectors and the shrink tubing.
It gives you a nice set of detailed instructions on how it installs and how it operates. If you notice, there's a little notch here, a thumb notch on the plug. This will allow for easy alignment. When you push this into the vehicle end connector, there's a little tab on that end. And this will magnetically connect, and then you just twist it until the tab lines up to that notch.If you notice, it does come with this dummy socket, and that's to cover the plug and protect the terminals from any damage or from the elements.
And again, it's a very strong magnet. And you can see, just to pull that off takes quite a bit of strength. This part is made in the USA, and again, the length on this cable portion is about four foot in length. But that should do it for the review on the EZ Connector magnetic extension cord with the seven way trailer connector, four foot long cable, and a built-in seal for the trailer end.

Good solid travel vehicle to rv trailer electrical connection. Magnets make for a secure, moisture free connection. Better than the old 7 prong connection.
I no longer worry about my trailer lights or brakes getting disconnected. I am not going back to 7 pin connectors!
I already have a popup trailer for camping with the EZ connector, and a rear view camera, this order is for a second trailer. I created the bumper housing for the EZ in my backyard machine shop, to gain ground clearance. Attached phots are housing prior to assembly, attached to bumper, video port, and finished installation. I am a retired electronics reliability engineer, these connectors are like what I used for testing semiconductors for military and space use! Great design!

Let’s just say that this product is the best thing since sliced bread! The traditional 7 pin trailer plugs have for years been a problem. Corroded pins , bent pins, loose connections etc.... this product solves all those issues. This product gives you the peace of mind that your lights are going to work and keep working. Installation is simple and the overall quality is outstanding. Highly recommend this fix.
I am currently switching a fleet of 15 vehicles and trailers over to a standard seven flat pin connector. In theory these magnetic trailer connectors are a great idea, but as they are disconnected every day to dump the trucks they collect dirt which causes the pins to corrode on the ends, and the O-rings to fail.I think if they were used in a more constant hook up or one that was not in a construction industrial setting they would work excellent.

I would suggest using the magnetic receptacle that is included to protect the pins when not in use.
It will not fall out, very strong conne ction.
Everything is working a lot better than the old plug-in. Only 6 weeks of use. I pull a trailer daily
I was tired of having connection problems with the standard 7 prong trailer plugs, I did not like the fact that I could not count on my trailer brakes 100% of the time to help me stop or slow down in an emergency. After doing some research I found that people were having good luck with these EZ Connectors. I was working on my standard plugs all of the time. I know that rough dirt roads and driving over roads treated with magnesium chloride did not help with my connection issues, but I finally had enough and purchased what I believe is the best trailer connector made, The EZ Connector is completely sealed and the contacts are under constant pressure when in use, It also came with magnetic caps for both ends to keep the socket clean when I am not pulling. It is made in the USA so that makes me happy as well. I am very pleased with this product, and the service I received from etrailer was Top Notch.

The Ez connector is still working fine . No problems at all. This product really should be an industry standard for all new trucks and trailers.
