Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the telescoping Transom drop ladder with the four-step design. The drop ladder provides an easy way to board your boat after a swim. The fold-over design is a really neat feature to have. The ladder actually folds up on the deck for storage and down for use, so that way it easily folds away to protect it from damage while your boat's in motion. I'll show you how to move it into a stowed position when we do those measurements, but it's really easy to do. Before we do that, I want to point out that right here is the crossbar.

This is a sturdy hand grip at the top of the ladder that lets you pull yourself up out of the water easily. The telescoping legs make it easy to quickly extend the ladder.When it comes to the construction, we're looking at an electro-polished 316 stainless steel, very strong and durable, and extremely corrosion resistant. On each rung we have a nonskid tread surface to ensure safe, secure footing, and then the brackets right here are pre-drilled, two holes per side for easy installation. It also comes with detailed installation instructions to help walk you through that whole process, step-by-step. Installation hardware is not included.Now, when it comes to the dimensions of the ladder from the very top to the very bottom, it's about 45 1/2 inches long.

Outer edge to outer edge right here is 11 1/2 inches wide. The rung spacing, that's the distance that we have between the center of each rung . now, these actually slant at a downward angle, so that way they're easy to get onto when you're getting out of the water, so instead of measuring from top to top, I measured from the center of where it mounts to the center of where the other mounts, and they're all spaced evenly at about 11 1/4 inches apart. The footpad measures 7 3/16 inch long by 1 1/2 inch deep.I'm just going to go ahead and show you how to fold it up, so when you're ready to do that, what you need to do is retract the unit and then it folds over on the decking, so nice, easy, compact design. It also comes with this bungee right here that can be used to keep those telescoping components together, that way they don't accidentally extend out.

Now, when it's in the stowed position, front to back it measures about 16 inches. The overall width, including the hardware here on the ends is about 12 1/8 inches wide, and from bottom to top is about 1 7/8 inches tall. The mounting bracket, see there two holes pre-drilled per side. These holes are spaced front to back by 1 1/2 inch on center. Side to side on center is about 10 inches.

From the very front of the bracket to the back is about 9 1/8 inches long, and the area that makes contact with the decking is 7 7/8 inches long by 1 3/16 inches wide.That's going to do it for today's look at the telescoping Transom drop ladder with the four-step design.
