This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Complimentary roadside assistance included.This tire is OEM for what comes on a Columbus 5th wheel. It is not the cheap Chinese bomb that many RVer's talk about although it is made in China. I ruined my tire on a curb (rookie mistake) and wanted to match the original OEM. My 5th wheel has been in service since 2017 and these tires are doing very well. Arrived two days after I placed my order. etrailer.com to the rescue! I ordered the wheel and tire at the same time and only etrailer.com had what I needed online. Thank you etrailer!!!
Replace with new Westlake as I had good luck with them on my camper before
I have this tire on my spare, which I unfortunately needed last week, and looks great! I've purchased 2 more to replace the spare and another tire on my camper that is wearing. I hope they last longer than the initial tires.

two of the 3 tires have blown during trips. Changing to a much better tire.
Last trip out with my fifth wheel, ran over a piece of metal in the road causing tire to go flat, luckily it happened right by entrance to the campground. Was able to air it up enough to get to my site without damaging rim. Put my spare on for my return trip to home but damage to my tire was too close to side wall to repair so I ordered west lake ST235/80R 16 from etrailer which is exactly the match that came on trailer. Tire came on time and perfect match to existing tire. I have had my fiver for 3 1/2 years and the west lakes seem to be holding up fine in regards to the wear. Price from etrailer was lower than any other place I checked and manufacture date stamped on tire was recent so I got a new tire instead of one that had been sitting in a wharehouse for awhile. This is the 2nd tire I have purchased from etrailer and completely satisfied with both purchases. First purchase was same tire with wheel so I had an extra spare for long trips just in case. Would recommend etrailer for prices and expert technical assistance. Happy camping.

These are the tires that came on the Cimarron gooseneck horse trailer that I ordered from the factory. They perform well and are durable. One of them got a puncture in the tread close to the sidewall and couldn't be plugged so I ordered a new tire to replace it and match the others still on my trailer.

Had a blow out with Westlake E rated tires on my 5th wheel. Replaced all 6 with G rated tire. No problems since Replaced.
would give 5 stars only had it about a year, so far it has performed as expected time will tell .

As always I found exactly what I need on etrailer quickly and easily. Thank you for a very user-friendly web site. I got what I ordered and it arrived one day ahead of schedule. I can't say much about the tire until I put some miles on it. I think NM Hway 285 south of Carlsbad is what spelled doom for the one I'm replacing so we shall see.

Once the agent answered I could not ask for better service. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. I was traveling and in a very bad situation and could not move my camper until i received my order. She expidited my order as she promised and I was able to get back on the road to home!!

I really don’t have a review on product since I just received it today and have yet to mount, but as far as etrailer goes it was fast shipping. I hope to have better luck with this tire than the west lake tire that blew out on me.

It’s a good well made tire with a good price. It is the same tire that came on my Grand Design 303RLS had to get new tire due screw through sidewall.

Tire is holding up very well. Would definitely buy again. I am very happy after using product for a year.
