Recommended Lift Kit For a 5' X 8' Single Axle Trailer To Install Larger Wheels and Tires
Question:
I have a small 5x8 single axle utility trailer with 12 diameter tires and wheels. Id like to install 14 tires. I have plenty of space for the tire width, but Ill need 2 of additional height for fender clearance. Can I just install longer spring shackles to get the necessary clearance? Thanks

I recommend the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit # LC87120 that will allow you to raise your suspension 2-1/4". If you were to extend the shackle strap it would be a very long strap and would put the leaf spring at an angle that would affect how the spring compress since it will be angled forward and not relatively flat to the ground.
