How Many Correct Track Brackets Are Needed Per Axle
Question:
Your correct track trailer alignment and lift kit has 3 options. Single, tandem and triple axle applications. The number of plates seems to be incorrect on your single axle kit as there is only 4 plates whereas your tandem axle kit has 12 plates and your triple axle has 16 plates. It seems your single axle kit should have 8 plates with 2 being used for each front spring mount and 2 being used for each rear spring mount on both sides of the trailer which would be 8 plates. Also you tandems axle and triple axle kits are shown as the same price. Can you clarify? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
There would need to be two brackets per hanger so the Single axle Correct Track kit # LC87120 would only need four brackets to mount on both sides of the hangers. A tandem axle trailer # RR23QX would have 3 hangers per side and require 12 brackets and a triple axle trailer # RR55QX would have 4 hangers per side, requiring 16 total brackets. As for the pricing it can vary depending on numerous factors, including pricing from the manufacturer, availability, demand, etc. so it is displaying as it should.
