Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the TecNiq Recessed Mount Mini Amber LED Side Marker Trailer Light. Now, this is a nice, small, round LED light that'll serve as a front side marker and clearance light for your trailer. Now, at the end of this video, I'm gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power to show you how bright the light is. First, I wanna go over some features of it. It is a sealed waterproof unit, includes a durable polycarbonate housing and a UV resistant lens.

They do use military grade construction of the circuit board on this, uses urethane potting, which offers better protection than common epoxy potting, and it does have an IP68 rating. The LED is a premium LED, it is energy efficient, long lasting, and vibration resistant, it is rated for up to 100,000 hours of operation, and as you can see, it's a clear lens over one amber LED. This is compatible with 12 volt DC system. As we mentioned, it's a recessed mount installation, comes with the included grommet. It does require a 3/4 inch diameter cutout for the light to go into.

If you can see on the end of the wire here, they have the bullet connectors, which will plug into your trailer connectors, includes a ground wire and a power wire, and the wire length on this light is about 11 inches. It is a PC rated light, so it does produce 180 degree beam when properly installed, and it does meet or exceed the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Few dimensions on this, the diameter of the light is one inch, the depth is 7/8 of an inch, input voltage, 9 volts to 14 volts, and the power draw of 0.03 to 0.06 amps. So what I'm gonna do now is we're gonna go ahead and hook this up to some power. So we'll go ahead and hook that up, go ahead and hook that up, and with those connected, I'll go ahead and turn on the 12 volt power, and you can see the light comes on.

I'm gonna go ahead and turn off the overhead lights, and you can see with the overhead light off, it's a very bright amber LED showing through the clear lens. Gives you a very bright light. Actually, if I even zoom out, you can see from a distance how bright it is. Zoom back in. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights and turn off our power.
