This 2-wire pigtail has a male plug on one end that pairs with the female connection on the back of your Optronics light. Color-coded wire lead is 18" long. Designed specifically for side marker, clearance, and utility lights.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a two wire pigtail for Optronics trailer lights. This pigtail, with the two pronged plug, allows you to wire your trailer light to your trailer. It's designed for use with Optronics side markers, clearance, and utility lights. And it can be used for other trailer light brands as well. It features the male pin, two prong PL-10 molded plug. This connects to the back of the trailer light.And this is a two wire pigtail, so it has a two wire design.
The white wire is for ground, and it does come with a number 10 ring terminal already installed for easy connecting. And then the black wire's for power. The wires come off the plug at an angle, so you'll notice that they drop straight down, instead of coming straight off the back, or straight out. This really helps reduce the amount of strain placed on the wires. And the wire length is 18 inches long.
It's really easy to connect. This is the type of connection that it mates with. And you place it directly in the connection points. Push it in until it seats all the way. And that's all there is to it.

I ordered this pigtail along with a replacement light and grommet after a tire blew out on my EZ Loader trailer and the flying rubber knocked the original light and grommet out into traffic where they were promptly crushed. It turns out I didn't need the pigtail because the old one still worked, but for as little as this cost I did not want to take the chance of not having the right parts to fix the light. Now I have an extra pigtail, just in case.

Easy to install were plug and play for my trailer. Only thing is not including the watertight connections for the splice maybe consider that in the future when the pig tails are bought. Most people do not have those type connectors and are sometimes hard to find.

I recently had a tire blow out on my boat trailer and it took out the wiring for the fender-mounted marker lights. I spliced these two-pronged plugs into my existing wiring harness and they work great. They take up very little space and fit through the mounting holes on the trailer with no additional inletting needed.

I installed these a year ago and they are still working fine. Replacing the light assemblies with LED probably reduced the draw that led to the demise of the old sockets but these are high quality replacements.
