The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side marker light.
Recessed-mount trailer lights install with a grommet, which is often sold separately. These lights extend past the trailer surface and require a hole for installation. If replacing a light, you can utilize the pre-existing hole. If installing a new light, you will need to cut a hole or use a mounting bracket (sold separately) to complete the installation.

Today we can take a look at the mini LED submersible clearance and marker light with locking ring. It's an Amber LED with the clear lens.Now this small round trailer light will function as both a clearance light or a side marker light when properly mounted.It's sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens unit is submersible has a stainless steel locking ring that will secure the light and prevent theft. And it's an LED so it makes great replacements for incandescent lights because the LEDs last 50 times longer, they're more efficient, provide brighter light with less power output and no bulbs to replace or no brittle filaments.It's a durable polycarbonate housing and lens. It is a clear lens over an Amber LED. It is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. It is a recessed Mount with the locking ring.
And then right there, the black portion is the gasket which will help create a nice weathertight seal.The wires you can see. The two-wire design with the male bullet connectors. It is DOT compliant. PC rated.A few specs on this, I want to give you some measurements. The overall diameter, including that locking ring is one and a half inches.
The thickness from the front to the back is right at seven eighths of an inch. And just the light face itself is about three quarters of an inch diameter.It is one diode. Power draw at 12.8 volts it's 0.082 amps, and they do have a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. What I'm going to do now is hook this up to 12 volt power and show you how bright the light is.So we'll go ahead and take our power, our ground, and then our power wire. And with it hooked up, I'll go ahead and turn on the power and you can see the bright Amber LED.
I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and you can see for one LED, it gives great, good, bright light out of it.Turn back on our overhead light, turn off our power, but that should do it for the review on the mini led submersible clearance and marker light with locking ring, Amber LED and a clear lens..
