Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Peterson Round Amber Heavy Duty Mini-LED Clearance or Side Marker Light with the Built-In Grommet. Now, this is a small round trailer light, which you can function as both a clearance light and a side marker light when it's properly mounted. It does use a rugged rubber construction. Has the built-in strain relief right here, makes it durable in extreme environments, and it does use LEDs.

This one actually happens to use one LED. These LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights, 'cause it lasts 50 times longer, and they're more efficient 'cause they'll provide brighter light with less power output. And of course, no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments that are gonna break. And they do have a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. As I mentioned, this is an amber lens, over one amber LED, and I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power just so you can see how bright it is.

So what we're gonna do, let's go ahead and hook up our ground. And we'll go ahead and hook up our power. And then what we're gonna do, turn on our 12 volt power, and you can see the amber LED light up with the amber lens. If I go ahead and turn off the overhead light, so you can see how bright it is. Very bright for a small one LED light.

And turn back on our overhead lights. Turn off our power and disconnect it. This is a recessed mount design. You can see right up here, it has the built-in grommet. Installation will require drilling a one inch diameter hole at the desired location for this to pop right in there.

It is a two wire design. You can see it's a single wire, but then there's two connectors here. They are bullet connectors, male bullet connectors, and one's the power lead, one's the ground wire. This light is DOT, Department of Transportation, compliant. It is PC rated, and it is made in the USA. It is for quantity of one light. Operating range is nine volts to 16 volts. And the last thing I want to do is just give you the measurements on this. So, if we get our ruler out, the diameter on the light, including the rubber grommet, is about one and one eights inches in diameter. The depth on it is right about three quarters of an inch. And then the total length, one end to the other, is about eight and three quarter inches long.
