Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light
Maintaining a functioning lighting system for your boat trailer is required by law. Make your life simpler by installing lights that you can trust be to be submerged regularly. The housing and lens of this light are sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light to damage the diode or circuit board. Also, a special urethane potting is used to encapsulate the circuit board, further ensuring protection from moisture and dust.
PC-Rated Lights
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light on either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. Rather than buying side marker and clearance lights separately, you can mount this single, PC-rated light at a 45-degree angle on the rear corner of your trailer to act as both.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq Recessed Mount Mini Red LED Clearance Side Marker Light with the Grommet. Now, this is a very small one inch round LED light that'll serve as a rear side marker and clearance light on your trailer. And it is a PC rated light. It'll a produce 180 degree arc of red light to indicate the position of your trailer.
It's in a sealed waterproof unit that'll include durable polycarbonate housing and a UV-resistant lens. It is a military grade construction of the circuit board. Offers you urethane potting, which is better protection than the common epoxy potting. And the LED they use as a premium LED. It is energy efficient, long lasting, and vibration resistant.
The LED is rated for up to a hundred thousand hours of operation. Now, I do have this hook to some 12 volt power, just so I can show you the light and the color of it. So what I'm gonna do is go ahead and turn on the 12 volt power, and you can see, the light comes on. It is a red LED. We'll go ahead and turn it off.
And it's a clear lens that's over the red LED. It is compatible with the 12 volt DC system. And there you can see how bright it is and the red it gives off. We'll go ahead and turn back on overhead light. Turn off our power.
Disconnect everything. Now, it is a recessed mount installation. As you can see, it comes with the included rubber grommet, and it does require a three quarter inch diameter cutout for this light to fit into. You'll notice on the other end it uses bullet connectors, which will plug into your trailer's matching connectors. Total wire length on this is about nine inches. Now, this will meet or exceed the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 108 Standards. Few specs on this. The overall diameter of the light itself is one inch. Thickness is about seven eights of an inch. And the dimensions, without the grommet, is three quarters of an inch, and also seven eights of an inch. Input voltage for this light is nine volts to 14 volts. And the power draws only 0.06 to 0.08 amps. But that should do it for the review on this TecNiq Recessed Mount Mini Red LED Clearance Side Marker Light with the Grommet.
