Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

Great communication about etrailer waiting to receive product causing delay in shipping, but then shipped immediately when received by them. Quality products and great prices!

by:

Great replacement for a set of older incandescent style lights. Far far brighter, super easy install, larger size let me pretty well cover the existing holes from the old rectangular lights. Does have a license plate holder but those are usually pretty brittle anyhow. I just got a flush mount plate bracket which looks better.

Etrailer has been a huge help for our lighting needs.

by:

Wow very nice quality. Very bright and looks great on my vintage Shasta. Also Etrailer customer service is wonderful!

by:

These lights have been an outstanding upgrade from the original incandescent brake/turn/tail/reverse lights on my department's 1992 water tanker. The diodes in the lights are really bright and can be seen clearly at nighttime or during the day. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

Original 'top hat' tail/brake/signal lights for my little Scamp camp trailer are not available so I searched for a comparable light in LED & found these. They're the same diameter & the mounting pad & simple wiring made it easy to replace the 'long gone' originals with bright, easily seen lights that many folks think are factory.

Harvey, You did exactly what Im trying to do, replace the tail lights on my 13, scamp. But the lights above dont say anything about signal lights in the product description, even called. No was what I was told. Did you wire these so you can have signal lights ? TED

These will in fact work with turn signals, we are in the process of updating the page. There are 3 wires on the back of the light. White = Ground Black = running/tail lights Red = brake and turn signals Check out the link to the Expert Answer page for more information.

Perfect replacement and nice and bright

by:

I looked all over the web for this type of light.
The 7" round LED makes it very noticeable.
As far as safety the light is great.
Ordering and shipping was very easy.
I will be recommending this site to anyone who is needing parts.

very happy with the product and how quick it arrived

by:

Just what I needed for an old 30ft New Flyer. Also works on Opus Optimas (if anybody has any of those horrible things still around) Good light from a good company. I chose fast shipping and they actually packaged it and shipped it out right away. Thanks George!

They are still going strong! Im very happy with them and that you guys stock them in 24 volt. I wish you also had the flanged four inch amber ones in 24 volt too. The manufacturer of our vehicles marks things up so much its ridiculous. Anyway, thanks for the good products, prices, simple website.

by:

Very nice tail light that was perfect for replacing lights on a very old pop-up camper. Delivery was much faster than I expected. Ordered on Saturday afternoon, lowest cost shipping, got my order on Monday - wow!

The lights are great easy to install and looks GREAT too, Super Bright!

by:

Fit the size and mounting holes on my 1969 Airstream Caravel perfectly. A great replacement for the old beat-up and corroded lights. All four functions (turn, stop, run, brake) work great with my completely new trailer wiring job. I hooked them up temporarily to validate all my wiring and then took them off until the restoration and polishing is complete so that they don't get ruined.

by:

I bought two of the lights to use on my 2005 Forest River Cardinal 5th wheel. Trailer had the original equipment 7 inch lights. This light fit perfect in the same holes. I did have to rewire the light but that was easy since these lights have instructions on the back to tell which wire is brake, ground, or tail. It comes with a water proof dense foam gasket. This is a nice bright light.

I still have two of the old lights as my trailer has 4 in the back. I am a cheap fellow and will use these lights whenever another old one bites the dust.

Be advised the factory used caulk and screws to install the light. They did not want to come off after 15 years. TIP: I used a heat gun moving it all the way around the circumference of the light for about 2 minutes. I waited about 5 minutes and then made a steel widget to pry off the lights. They came off much easier with the heat.

by:

These work great. These replaced the original round tail lights on an 80's Scamp camping trailer. Other cars can now see my lights!

by:

A large bright combined stop/turn/tail light designed to be mounted on flat surface. Looks to be good quality. We mounted it on a bracket and using it as a removable tow light for our Jeep.

by:

The lights look great and they perform as described. This was quite a relief since I had ordered my first set of lights from an Amazon Supplier that were defective (all four of four were defective). I had spent several hours trying to troubleshoot what I was doing wrong finally to realize that the brand new lights I had purchased from the other supplier were all bad.
I appreciate the quality of your product. They look great on my motorhome.
Thanks,

by:

These LED lights look well made and I'm sure they will be very bright and durable.
I'll provide more feedback and pictures when they are installed on my 1970 Boler trailer.
The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I haven't installed them yet.

by:

They work for me. They really brighten my stop and taillights. Installation was easy and they fit.

by:

Perfect size for my 1968 Aristocrat trailer and LED. I would buy them again.

by:

Exactly what I wanted! I'm using them to replace the rear tail lights on my 1966 Nomad- I wanted a super bright large round tail and etrailer delivered!!! I didn't want to put in months of work and $1000's of dollars to hav someone rear wnd me.
Awesome product!

by:

As usual, great service for a product that is not easy to find. I used a pair of their on the back of my fifth wheel trailer whose mfg has been out of business for 10 yrs. Thanks again.

by:

Installed the LED taillights on my fifth wheel camper, what a difference they made. They are real bright and very good looking on my camper. Thanks for a great product, fast delivery also.

  • New Wiring for a 35 Foot Long Gooseneck Trailer with 4 LED Tail Lights
I have included a couple of links to the right that should help out a lot. One of the links covers everything you ever wanted to know about trailer lights, including where they need to be and what types based on the length and width of a trailer. The other does include some wiring and connector diagrams that should be helpful. It sounds like in addition to the lights you would benefit from a new 7-Way trailer connector such as # 50-67-103 which is 15 feet long(and the longest I have),...

  • Optronics Transit Tail Light # STL90RB Works When Truck is Off, But Turns Off When Truck is On
The White, Black, and Red wires on the Optronics Transit Tail Light # STL90RB will connect to the following functions: White - Ground Black - Tail Red - Stop/Turn You can test the wiring functions on your trailer by just touching the ends of the Black or Red wire with the wires that were hooked up to your previous light. If you do not have the White wire properly grounded then that is most likely your problem. If one of your wires doesn't connect to a ground then you will want to make...

  • Can the Optronics Trailer Light # STL90RB be Used as a Taillight/Stop Light/Turn Signal
Yes, this Optronics Trailer Lights # STL90RB can be used as a combined trailer tail light that can function as a taillight, a turn signal and a brake light. It has dual intensities so that it could be used as a tail light and then when the blinkers or brakes are applied the brighter filament will illuminate. When you wire this into the wire of your trailer the white wire will need to be attached to a good clean metal surface. The black wire will be run to the tail light circuit of your...

  • How to Connect the # STL42RB Tail Lights to a 1958 Trailer with 2 Wire Lighting System
The 4 inch Round Sealed LED Stop, Turn or Tail Light, item # STL42RB, uses a 3 wire pig tail, item # A47PB or # A45PB, to connect to your existing trailer wiring. The plug on the pigtail plugs into the back of the tail light and is then hard wired to your trailer wiring. It sounds as if your original tail lights were grounded to the trailer frame through their mounting studs, so a third wire was not needed. When connecting the 3 wires from the 3 wire pig tail, you will ground the white...

  • Will Optronics LED Transit Tail Light Fit Reflect-O-Lite 110 Mounting Holes on 1963 Airstream Bambi
The only way to confirm if the Optronics LED Transit Tail Light # STL90RB mounting holes will line up with the Reflect-O-Lite 110 holes is to measure what you currently have. The mounting holes on the Optronics light are 6-1/4" apart center to center. If this is the same as your measurement then the light will work well as a replacement.

  • All Lights on Truck and Trailer Blink After Installing New Trailer Lights on 1988 Scamp Trailer
On the Transit LED Stop/Side Marker/Tail Light, # STL90RB, only the outer ring of LEDs and the center circle illuminate with the tail light function. The middle ring is a reflector, not a light (see photo). When the stop or turn signal is activated, only the outer ring should illuminate with a higher intensity, not the center circle, I made a short video for you showing how this light should function. Based on your description, it sounds like your trailer has a 3-wire setup rather than...

  • Using a 2-Wire Trailer Tail Light on a Trailer with Separate Brake and Turn Signals
Since you have indicated that you do have separate turn signal and brake light wires on your Scamp trailer, connecting both of those separate wires to the same circuit on the light # STL90RB is probably what is causing all of the problems including back feeding to the truck. What you will need to do is use a special converter on the trailer side, # RM-732. The separate brake and turn signals will go to the input side of this converter which will then combine them for the output side. Then...

  • Will Optronics Trailer Light # ST90RB Light Up if Connected Directly to a 12 Volt Battery
I can honestly say I have never had someone building a railroad crossbuck sign ask me a question! But, yes, the Optronics light # ST90RB will illuminate steady when connected to a 12 volt power source, like a battery, provided that the power source has a charge (if the battery runs low the light can dim). To replace your exisiting lights with those of the same diameter, we offer both incandescent and LED lights. Our most popular 7 inch diameter, round, red trailer taillight is the Optronics # ST90RB. • Installing a Stop/Tail/Turn Signal Light on the Rear of a Trailer
One light to rule them all so to speak. Theoretically, you could use any LED stop/tail/turn light. You would have to splice in the left turn and right turn wires to the same brake/turn signal wire on the light you choose to make it light up with both turn signals. However this could cause some bleed over so when the left turn signal is on the right turn signal could light up some. To avoid this you would install diodes in line with the stop/turn wires from the regular trailer tail lights...

All of the multi-function taillights we offer are shown on the linked page.
