Optronics STL23 Series Miro Flex 4 Inch Round Sealed LED Tail Light Diagram

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

Recessed-Mount Light

Recessed mount light

Recessed-mount trailer lights install underneath a grommet (A45GB - sold separately). These lights will extend into the mounting surface and require that a hole be cut into your trailer.

I installed these lights in a T@B teardrop camping trailer. The grommet would not work on this style trailer so I installed the lights using a silicone adhesive the same as the original Peterson lights. eTrailer delivered them in the same timely manner I have come to expect from them and the LEDs were easy to install. These lights are blindingly bright - simply amazing. I had rear lights with 1157 bulbs which I had upgraded to 2357 bulbs and equipped the tow vehicle with a powered converter but the light output was dim by today's standards. These lights are twice as bright on running lights and about 4 times brighter on the brake/turn signal elements. The thing we all fear when towing is being hit from behind by a driver that does not see our running, brake or turn signal lights in time. I know these lights will vastly improve the safety and visibility of our trailer. Thanks!

These lights are great and you have sold a number of them to our friends now.

by:

These lights are super bright as you might expect with 12 led's each. The quality of the materials is very good. I started out buying two of these and they looked so good I ordered two more and replaced the back up lights with the last two.

by:

They are great lights love them

by:

Did this improvement on my Tab trailer in under two hours.

Excellent place etrailer good advise thanks Matthew

by:

Excellent product, good fit and finish, and worked well. Used them as tail/turn signal lights for my Jeep.

by:

Exact match to what I had, took about a minute to replace. It definitely is a bright light. Shipping was fast and fair priced.

by:

Great service and quality product. Due to the -20 plus temps we will be experiencing these next few days and winter itself, I won't be able to install these until spring but I am quite impressed with eTrailer. This solves a myriad of problems regular bulbs can have while improving the ability of others to see our running lights. Bravo. Thanks for the followup too. dB Minneapolis MN

Awesome. Fairly easy to replace the originals on our 2007 T@B and they work great. Much easier to see and they STAY LIT. Big plus. Used a Dremel type tool to open the access panel and they fit like a good leather glove. Highly recommend and thanks to Richard for recommending them to us.

by:

Received two of these LED lights and installed them on a 2008 Dutchman TAB teardrop trailer. We have always been concerned with the brightness of the OEM lights. These lights are a tremendous improvement and can be easily seen even in a sunny day. The etrailer website shows several pictures of these lights on a TAB.

WRT service, etrailer shipped items quickly and tracking was very easy. Thank you for the great service.

by:

The Miro-Flex LED lights are just what I expected. I haven't installed them yet and when I do they will be installed on my Tab camping trailer. I look forward to higher visibility from the rear.
Delivery was extremely quick and well packaged.

by:

I used these to replace the peterson taillights on my 1979 GMC dump truck. They were a direct replacement and fit perfectly. Was able to use the existing wiring and rubber boot for the direct install. Too easy! I've had comments from the people at the quarry and on the job that the visibility of my taillights was surprisingly bright even when they get a film of dirt on them. I had problems with the peterson lights burning out and so far, 3 months, these are still working perfectly.

by:

Very happy with taillights. Bright, with fairly good spread. Folks on the road seem to be more responsive to my 'requests' to change lanes now, than they were with my previous standard bulbs.

by:

These are some really bright lights. They have a very nice prism look to them, much different than most led lights you'll see on the road. Very happy with them. No grommets were included.

by:

Richard Lewis, our T@B guru turned us on to the instructions for installing these on our 2004 T@B. What a fantastic difference! And etrailer.com was great to work with!

by:

I used a pair of these and their pigtails to upgrade the lighting on the back on my T@B camper trailer. Easy upgrade and they look great and are very bright.

by:

Excellent replacement light assembly! On-line photos showing the front and back of the assembly made verifying the connector plug easy. Clean, easy installation.

by:

Replacement lamps were exactly the OEM match. Good price and recieved shipment in about 4 days via ground shipping.

by:

These lights are exactly what I was looking for. Going to use them for tail lights on a project car. Thank you.

by:

We like these because they are brighter than most led lights

by:

good for jeep flush mount tail lights

by:

Nice and bright. Easy retro fit on our T@B trailer.

by:

Service and delivery were fantastic. Product was as described and simple to install. Thank you.

by:

Fast service great parts

by:

I haven't had a chance to put these lights in yet. -They're going in a jeep/buggy. I was impressed at how quickly they were shipped and how easy the website was to use. I love the look of these lights and can't wait to put them in.

by:

Installed these on my utility bed. They look great, very bright and the best part is when I wash the bed water does not get inside them.
Highly recommended.

by:

The product was delivered fast and worked well.

  • Hole Size Information Needed for Mounting Trailer Light Grommet A45GB
It doesn't really have a wall thickness requirement. As long as the hole is 4-1/2 inch in diameter this will fit and work well. It is compatible with a light like # STL23RB. You will also need a wiring harness like # A47PB.

  • Can the 4 inch Rubber Grommet # A45GB be used in a 4-3/4 inch Mounting Location
I do have a solution for you, since the hole that you are placing the grommet in is 4.75 inches, the grommet that you referenced, the Optronics # A45GB, might push through that mounting hole since the overall diameter is 5-3/8. Depending on your exact mounting location you might be able to use the # BK45BB to install on your light mounting location then use the 4 inch grommet # A45GB to hold a 4 inch light. I am not sure if this will work for your application but you might also be able...

  • Functions of Optronics 12 Diode Miro-Flex Tail Light # STL23RB
The Optronics 12 Diode Miro-Flex LED Trailer Stop/Turn/Tail Light you referenced, part # STL23RB is a three function lamp. The # A47PB right angle pigtail, which is sold separately, has a white ground wire, a red wire that carries the brake and directional signal and a black wire that serves as the running light circuit. If the vehicle headlights were turned on, the lamp would be lit. Applying the brakes would make the lamp brighter. The lamp has several mounting options. It can be...

  • Is the Optronics 21 Diode LED Trailer Taillight the Brightest
Since Optronics does not share information such as lumens, determining the brightness can be difficult to determine. Although not always the case, typically more diodes indicates that the light will be brighter. The # STL23RB Optronics LED Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn - Submersible - 21 Diodes - Round - Red Lens still has the most at 21 diodes which will make it one of, if not the most, bright red 4" stop, tail, turn lights. The only other 4" red light with as many diodes is...

  • LED Replacement Light Recommendation For Bargman 68 Round 4-1/2 Inch Trailer Lights
We have four different round LED stop, turn and tail lights that will fit in the 4-1/2 inch diameter holes in your rear bumper. You could use the Optronics light, # STL23RB, # STL43RB, # STL53RCB or # STL23CCRB. These are 4 inch round lights, but they require a rubber grommet, # A45GB, that allows 4 inch round lights to flush mount in a 4-1/2 inch cutout. Lights # STL43RB and # STL53RCB are sealed, submersible lights if you are adding these lights to a boat trailer. All of these lights...

  • 4-Inch Round White LED Work Light to Fit Rubber Grommet A45GB
Optronics round light grommet # A45GB fits a 4-1/2-inch cutout and accepts a 4-inch round light such as # BUL43CB. This round white LED-type work light features 10 super diodes for bright high-efficiency lighting. This light is intended as a work light; it is not certified for use as a backup light. For a 2-wire pigtail lead you can use part # A45CB. Thanks to the high-efficiency of this LED light you can use multiple lights without causing the same power draw demanded by incandescent types.

  • Troubleshooting Rear Running Lights on Re-Wired Utility Trailer
In standard trailer wiring all clearance lights and running lights operate from the same circuit. This means that if some of the lights are working but a few do not, then those non-functioning lights may have a ground issue or other wiring problem isolated just to them. Different lights can use different ways of grounding. For example, if your side clearance lights that do work use a wired ground, but the rear lights use the light mounting studs or posts to make the ground then it is possible...

  • Recommended 4 5/16" Clear Lens Light For Utility Box
I may have an option but we do not have a matching white/clear lens light like the 4 5/16" Miro-Flex LED Trailer Tail Light # STL23RB you mentioned. The closest option we have is the ONE LED Backup Light # BUL003CB which is 4 5/16" and offers a water proof design with a clear lens and a single white LED diode. You will also need the 2-wire Connector # A49PB and Mounting Grommet # A45GB. I included a video of the ONE LED # BUL003CB for you to take a look at.

  • How to Fix Rapid Flashing Blinkers on a 2004 Chevrolet Express After Switching to LED Lights
I don't know how the lights affect the cruise control feature on your 2004 Chevy Express van; the two seem unrelated unless they are on the same fuse. But I can explain what is going on with the flashing lights. On some vehicles, if you switch to LED lights it sort of confuses the electrical system on the vehicle because LED lights draw much less power than incandescent lights. The vehicle basically behaves as if the bulb was burned out by rapidly flashing. This is called hyper flash...
