It's a very good light. It is a better product than the original trailer light. However, my problem wasn't the light. It must be in the wiring. I am still working on the repair....... trial and error.

Its working very well.

by:

It gets the job done. Be aware of the junk bulbs they sell these with. I had to go spend another $[XX] on bulbs because the one in the passenger side blew as soon as I had it hooked up...

by:

Just as the original was on my trailer, perfect fit and finish and came with the bulbs installed!! Price and shipping were very reasonable and my tail lamp arrived quickly, I would definitely recommend etrailer.com to all!

by:

Originally ordered a different brand of tail lights, but unfortunately one side was back ordered which would have delayed my shipment enough to put me pass my deadline to have my trailer ready. Rebecca at etrailer.com worked with me and suggested these Optronics lights as an alternate. She had them shipper out that day and they arrived quickly and in great shape. this vendor offers exceptionally good customer service and very reasonable pricing for all of your trailer needs. Will definitely be using them again for any of my trailer part needs.

by:

The product was sent out almost immediately after I placed the order! It arrived on time, and packaged well. The item was exactly as pictured and described on the website. I am very satisfied with the product and the service I received. Will definitely use etrailer.com again should the need arise.

by:

I ordered these on Saturday, recieved them on Wednesday. Ordering was simple, cost was very competitive, and delivery was quick. For the purchasing part of my review I give etrailer an excellent rating. I have only had the product for a day...they have not even been installed yet, so I am not able to comment on the quality of the parts. They appear to be good stuff.

by:

  • Locating the Model Number for a Replacement Tail Light Lens
The lens will typically have a DOT number, but not a model number. A replacement lens is usually determined by the model number of the light itself. There should be a model number printed on the back of the light. If you have a square incandescent over 80 inch light like the Optronics Submersible Trailer Light, # ST5RB, that you referenced, then the Replacement Tail Light Lens, # A8RB, on your light. If not, then you can send me the model number of the light you have and I can make...

  • LED Replacement Trailer Taillights for Peterson 440-15R
The Peterson lights like the part # 432200 that you have are very standard in dimension. For an LED version of these all you'd need is the # STL009RB for the driver side and part # STL008RB for the passenger side. The mounting stud dimensions match too.

  • Replacement Square Submersible Tail Lights for a Karavan Boat Trailer With Replaceable Bulbs
I recommend the Tail Lights # ST5RB for the drivers side and # ST4RB for the passenger side. These lights are incandescent so you can replace the Bulb # A1157B should it burn out. The lights are submersible and the main lens is 4-9/16" x 4-9/16" square. The drivers side light has an additional lens on the bottom of the light which will illuminate a license plate on the Bracket # BK31BB.

  • Boat Trailer Tail Lights Stopped Working After Backing Trailer in Water
There is a subtle difference between submersible lights like # ST5RB and completely sealed lights. Submersible lights will let in water but will allow it to drain out. Sealed lights will keep water out and as such are also submersible. Part of the problem is that you really need to disconnect the trailer wiring prior to submerging the trailer in the water since the light is not sealed and the connection splices are not water tight. The brake light/turn signal functions not working could...

  • Replacement Lens for Tail Light
The code numbers and letters on a light lens are NOT usually the light's actual part number. Usually the actual manufacturer part number for the light appears on the base portion that is secured to the trailer and the lens has only DOT codes. Please refer to the photo of the item you referenced, part # ST5RB, which shows the part number on the back surface of the light base.

  • Trailer Running Lights Work But No Brake Lights or Turn Signals
Optronics trailer tail light # ST5RB grounds through the mounting studs. If it is attached to aluminum or there is something in between the light and where it is mounted then that can interrupt the ground. Make sure that the vehicle side and trailer side connectors are clean and free of corrosion inside and out. The main connector grounds should be attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces. The light grounds should also be attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal...

  • Ground on Truck Side Trailer Connector is Bad and Lights on Right Side of Trailer Not Working
If you are certain that the ground on the truck is the problem then what you can do is run a new ground from the back of the trailer connector directly to a clean, bare metal surface on the truck frame. Make sure the new location is free of corrosion, paint, and undercoating. If you continue to have issues then make sure the truck and trailer side connectors are both clean and free of corrosion inside where the wires attach and on the pins. The light grounds should also be attached...

  • Troubleshooting Malfunctioning Running Lights on Trailer
This sounds like a ground issue. Ground problems normally show up when there is more draw on a system such as when you have the running lights on and then use another function like a turn signal or brake light but can show up any time. The main connector grounds should be attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces. The light grounds should also be attached to clean...

You will also want to check the trailer connector for signs of damage or corrosion to any of the pins. I have attached a helpful article that explains how to troubleshoot...

  • Trailer Wiring Recommendation for a 1991 Toyota Camry
Your best option would be to replace the old style of trailer connector you have on your 1991 Toyota Camry with a new wiring kit like part # C56175 that will give you a 4-way on your vehicle to match the 4-way on your trailer. Without knowing more about what kind of wiring you have on the Camry it would be very hard to figure out what you would need to do to make the kit work. I attached a review video for this wiring harness plus an FAQ on trailer wiring for you to check out as well.

  • Why are Some Lights Listed as Over 80 Inches and Others Under 80 Inches
The reason there are trailer light kits listed for under 80 inches and over 80 inches is that there are different lighting regulations for vehicles that have widths that are larger than 80 inches in width than ones that are less than 80 inches wide. You will need to check with your local laws and regulations on trailer lighting also. Check out the LED Submersible Right Hand Light # STL8RB and the LED Submersible Left Hand Light # STL9RB. These are stud mounted, submersible, rectangle lights...
