Today were going to review part number YR5213-4P. This is the Yates V Keel Roller for boat trailers. Youll want to replace the worn out roller on your boat trailer with this large diameter heavy duty rubber one. This V shaped Keel Roller functions as a direct replacement for rollers that fit standard 5-inch wide brackets with a 1/2-inch diameter shaft. This part will replace one keel roller on your boat trailer. It will help ease the loading and loading of the boat and it does support the bottom of the boat as it sits on the trailer.
The V shape offers extra support for deep holes. This will also help to absorb road shock while the boat is being towed. This part is constructed of a heavy duty rubber. It is made in the USA. I just want to give you a measurement on this.
This is a 5-inch long by 3-inch diameter roller. It does fit on a 5-inch wide bracket that uses a 1/2-inch diameter shaft. That should do it for a review on part number YR5213-4P.

The rollers work great. This is a direct replacement on a 29 year old trailer. Boat is a catamaran and the back 2 rollers are the ones I am replacing. When going off and on the trailer the back 2 rollers take the weight of the entire boat and after 29 years they still functioned but the inside diameter was ovaled out. I guess nothing lasts forever.

Roller has held up well. Used on a small 16 foot lund where I have to winch the boat on so the roller has a lot of weight on it with the trolling motor and batteries in the bow. No issues though.

I had a worn keel roller on our 1987 EZ Loader boat trailer. I found this exact replacement at etrailer. Everywhere else I looked had 5/8" shaft size and this one is 1/2" shaft size. Perfect fit. Etrailer communicated well through the whole transaction.

Works just fine. Just don't tighten the bolt as tight as humanly possible to allow the roller to still turn.

The YR5213=4P Yates V keel roller with 1/2" shaft fit correctly and I installed it without difficulty or assistance on my old EZ Loader boat trailer. I raised my 12' aluminum skiff up off the old roller using a 4X6 X16" block as a fulcrum and a 6' 2X4 as a lever then blocked it up with another piece of 4X6 on the center trailer member under the keel. I haven't tried loading the boat off and on the trailer but I can see no reason why it shouldn't be a big improvement over the worn out cylindrical roller that I replaced.

At the time of this writing there is no picture of this roller on this site. I had to basically use the same part in a 5/8 shaft version as a guide for what it looked like and hope I was right, and I was. This is a black, heavy duty rubber roller with a mild taper toward the center. It helps center the boat as it rolls onto the trailer and is extremely tough. I expect this to last a very long time, even with the aluminum V bottom boat that I have that is very tough on rollers.

- Replacement Keel Roller With 1/2 Inch Shaft For Aluminum Trailer The replacement you are looking for is the Yates V Keel Roller for Boat Trailers - Super-Heavy-Duty Rubber - 5" Long - 1/2" Shaft # YR5213-4P based on the part number you gave. This does not have the white caps, but does have a groove where it looks like they fit. The end marking of 6 makes me confused as no search brings that up. If the measurements are a little different, I've attached the keel rollers page to show you your options.

It sounds like you have a slightly smaller shaft on your trailer than what the # YR-5213-5 is designed for and would need the part # YR5213-4P that is designed for 1/2 inch shafts and not 5/8 inch like what you have. There isn't a specific amount of play that is recommended, but you basically don't want the roller to be so tight that it would make contact on either side at the same time and wear the roller.
