A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Today we are going to take a look at the Optronics Mini Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light, red in color part number MC11RB. This is a single wire design; the ground will make contact through the mounting bracket. It surface mounts on 3 inch centers. It has a replaceable lens and bulb. Lets go ahead and hook up a power supply so you can see what it looks like when it is lit up.
We will hook our ground up through the middle tab in the mounting bracket, and our power supply to our single wire design. Lets go ahead and turn off the lights so you can see what it looks like in the dark. And there you have it for Optronics Mini Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light, part number MC11RB.

Much easier than other types of marker lights because of the fact there is no ground wire, just power. It made the installation process so much quicker. Great product.
Already reviewed this for the amber color lights. Same comments apply. They fit, they work, and I ordered some extra bulbs and red and amber side marker lights in case some more break in the future. I will be ready.
They all worked after i installed them , all 5 across the back of my trailer . I also bought led turn/stop lights and they work just fine better than the old loose bulb type. I also repainted my trailer.

Great all lights need no repair

after a year the marker lights are still working, no issues
product was an exact replacement for my trailer marker light. I also purchased the 3 light marker bar, which was also an exact replacement of the one used by the manufacture. etrailer made it easy to locate and the items arrived in a timely manner.
Pretty good, easy to install and works. Used these on my car hauler for safety markers at the rear. Do just fine and inexpensive.

good product. hard to find the older style incandescent clearance lights anymore since almost everyone is going led now. plan on replacing some non working clearance lights on my trailer.
Oddly enough I was having a hard time finding these specific clearance lights for the trailer of my bass boat. Was happy to find them here, with a fair price, and quickly shipped.
