Rugged, Matte Black Finish

The sturdy steel construction is protected with a matte black finish for added durability. This unique powder coating gives etrailer hitches a carbide-like appearance and a rugged look that sets them apart from traditional glossy hitches. In addition to being rust and corrosion resistant, the tough matte coating hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than a glossy finish.

I bought a curt hitch, but the video for the stealth hitch was amazingly helpful - how to take apart the car, find wires... I had to figure out how to cut the facia myself, but when I was done, I saw that there was a picture your site. Doh. From turning my first screw, watching videos, more watching videos, tracing wires, reading directions, watching video again, looking at wiring diagram AGAIN... maybe with a few interruptions... this was about a 6 hour job for me.

If I had a second one to do - same exact car, I think I could knock it out in about 2 hours.

Ready to go to the lake!

by:

Super easy to install. Make sure you have an extension for your 18mm socket. I thought I could get away without using one, although I did buy one before I started. You can remove the aluminum impact absorber without the extension, but as soon as you install the hitch, it will block your access around the edge.

by:

You have to remove bumper to install and we had to cut a hole in bumper for hitch. Perfect fit

by:

The box arrived with several large holes and the hitch actually sticking out of the box.

I don't know what was shipped with the hitch I am taking it to my mechanic to have it installed on the car but I'm uncertain at this time how to rate it

I tried to include photographs of the box but they would not upload

Good quality trailer hitch
I recommend
this company 100%

Box was severely damaged

by:

Great hitch, looks good and easy to ins tall.

by:

We purchased this trailer hitch to be able to attach 4 bikes to our SUV. With that in mind, have not had to test it's weight capacity, but I can say it fit well (required small bumper modification, but not visible), and has done a solid job.

by:

Very happy with the quality of the hitch and design. I am also happy that etrailer priced matched a competitor and refunded me the difference. My only issue was the packaging. The box was beat up and the part of the hitch went through. There were scratches on the frame and even the receiver which was taped up had scratches on it as well. I know that it will end up getting nicked eventually but I wished that it came without any damage. Overall a great product and good customer service.

by:

Great product, fast shipping, and the online instructions made an intimidating job relatively easy. Took about 2 hours for a couple of beginners and happy with the finished product.

by:

Transaction smooth, everything worked as it should. Thank you!

This worked great for installing the hitch on the Q7. Very satisfied with the results. Took about 2 hours to complete.

  • Is Trimming Required to Install a Trailer Hitch on a 2018 Audi Q7
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13277 is indeed correct for your 2018 Audi Q7. The Curt Hitch, etrailer hitch # e88KR, and both Stealth Hitches # 391AUDQ716T and # 391AUDQ716 are all fits for your 2018 Audi Q7 and they all require trimming. Unfortunately, we don't have a list of recommended installers for the products we offer outside of our location here in Missouri. There are some shops that will install the trailer hitch for you no problem and there are others that will be...

  • Recommended Towing Setup For 2017 Audi Q7
For your 2017 Audi Q7, if you don't already have a hitch I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # e88KR. This hitch receiver is a matte black powder coat finish over and e-base coat for excellent rust protection. For your wiring, I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT if you don't have the factory tow package. This harness uses zero-contact-interface sensors...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Audi Q7

  • What Are My Options for Transporting My Bikes on My 2018 Audi Q7?
Unfortunately, the Kuat NV 2.0 # NV22B-NA22B will not be the best option because the per-bike weight capacity decreases to 50 pounds per-bike if you are transporting a total of 3 bikes on the rack. With that capacity, you would not be able to transport your Benno Remidemi or your Tern GSD S10. Also, from my research, the Tern GSD S10 and the Benno Remidemi both have fenders. Here at etrailer, we do not recommend transporting a fendered bike with wheel-mounted attachment style because of...

  • 2 inch Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Audi Q7 for Thule Enclosed Cargo Carrier
Sounds like you have the Thule Combi Carrier part # TH665C which requiresd a 2 inch hitch and you have a 1-1/4 inch hitch installed on your 2018 Audi Q7. The solution you need is to replace your current hitch with a 2 inch trailer hitch. For that we have the etrailer part # e88KR.

  • Recommended Ball Mount for 2017 Audi Q7 with Draw-Tite Hitch Installed for Karavan Jet Ski Trailer
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # e88KR is 12-1/4 inches from the ground to the inside top of the receiver. Trailer couplers can vary in height from the ground to the coupler based on many different factors like wheel size, so I don't know what rise you need for your trailer unless that 12 inches you gave is the measurement of the trailer coupler height. If that is the case, use Curt Solid 2-Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 2" and 2-5/16" Balls - 10K - Black...

  • What Trunk Bike Rack Will Fit on a 2021 Audi Q7?
For a hitch on your 2021 Audi Q7, I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - 2" # e88KR. The etrailer comes with 700 pounds of maximum tongue weight and 7,000 pounds of gross towing weight, so it will give you the peace of mind knowing there won't be any weight issues. Also, as far as ground clearance, the distance between the ground and the opening of the receiver is about 12-1/4 inches. With that height, you will not run into dragging issues. I went ahead and linked a video of...

Not every vehicle has a great place to attach the stabilizer strap part # 18050 to. For your 2017 Audi Q7 your best solution would be to go with a trailer hitch that does not require that strap as that will allow you to to bypass the hassle all together. For that you would want the etrailer hitch part # e88KR which is a confirmed fit. The most popular bike rack we carry that has been confirmed to fit this vehicle is the Thule Camber 2 part # TH9058. • Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness and Other Parts to Tow a Trailer With a 2017 Audi Q7
It sounds like you're looking for a trailer wiring harness for your 2017 Audi Q7. If the Audi came with the factory tow package but doesn't have the connector you can use the Curt # C55774 which will provide you with a 4-way and 7-way connector. This harness plugs into the tow package wiring harness which will be under the rear of the vehicle. If you don't have the tow package I recommend the ZCI Harness # 119250KIT. This installs by clamping to the Audi's existing wiring without splicing...

  • Curt vs. etrailer Trailer Hitch For 2024 Audi Q7
Just a single difference exists between the Curt and etrailer trailer hitches for your 2024 Audi Q7, which is the finish. • Is There Cutting Required for Installing a Hitch on My 2021 Audi Q7?
Yes, there is some trimming that is required to install both the etrailer Hitch # e88KR and the Curt Hitch # C13277 to your 2021 Audi Q7. Unfortunately, we do not have any hitch receivers that do not require trimming on your vehicle. If you need tools to help you with trim removal/cutting, I recommend the Composite Trim Removal Tool Kit - 5 Piece # PT73HJ.

  • Is Fascia Trimming Required To Install A Trailer Hitch On A 2019 Audi Q7
Yes, both the Curt Trailer Hitch part # C13277 and etrailer trailer hitch part # e88KR require fascia trimming on the 2019 Audi Q7. Both installations require the temporary removal of the bumper beam as well to get to the install location. This is required because both designs have a concealed cross tube that only allow the receiver portion of the hitch to stick through the fascia for an OEM look. The installations are the same. I have attached installation instructions for your reference...
