  • Recommendation to Carry Four Bikes with 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon
The only trailer hitch available for your 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E320 Wagon is a Class 1 Curt Hitch, # C11830, which as you noted will limit you to carrying two bikes. Also, to be in compliance with the Curt warranty requirements if you use the hitch with a bike rack or cargo carrier you must use stabilization strap # 18050. I recommend using a roof rack and roof rack mounted bike carrier to carry the other two bikes. If you have a factory roof rack with crossbars then you can use...

  • Availability of 2 Bike Rack for 2002 Mercedes E320 Wagon and 2002 Audi TT
The 2002 Audi TT will not be able to use a trunk mounted bike rack. This vehicle does not have a safe place where the lower straps can be mounted. If your Audi TT is a Quattro (all-wheel drive) you can use a hitch like the Curt Class I Hitch, part # 11765, and a bike rack like the Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Rack, part # S63360. The Curt hitch will only fit the Quattro version, it will not fit the front wheel drive version of the Audi TT. I am including links to the installation instrutcions...

  • Does Curt Hitch # C118302 Come with all Needed Install Hardware
The Curt hitch part # C11830 does come with all brackets and fasteners needed to install on a vehicle. The pricing on our products sometimes changes without notice and you may catch items at a lower price and it doesn't seem to make much sense. Typically this is seen when a price increase went through for some products but just hasn't made it to all affected products.

  • Ball Mount Included with Trailer Hitch # 11830 Accepts 2 Inch Ball on a 1999 Mercedes E-Class Wagon
Yes, you can get a 2 inch trailer hitch ball for the Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver with Drawbar, # 11830. The ball mount that comes with the trailer hitch requires a ball with a 3/4 inch diameter shank. Take a look at Hitch Ball with 2 inch Diameter and Medium Shank, # TR63822. This ball has a capacity of 3,500 pounds of gross trailer weight and 350 pounds of tongue weight. Make sure you stay within the capacities of the trailer hitch and your 1999 Mercedes E-Class Wagon.

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2001 Mercedes E-Class
There are 2 different hitches available for the 2001 Mercedes E-Class. Hitch # C11830 fits E320 station wagon models. And Curt hitch # C11744 is designed for sedan models. So you would just choose the hitch based on which version you have, station wagon or sedan. We haven't installed either hitch on a vehicle yet so we do not have videos or our own pictures. But I can link the instructions for you so you can see what is involved in the installation process. If you plan on doing some towing...

  • Recommended Hitch and wiring harness for a 1999 Mercedes E320
To add a hitch to your 1999 Mercedes E320 you will want the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C11830. This hitch is custom fit for the E320 wagon and bolts to it with included hardware. This is a class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver. This is the only hitch available for your car. For a compatible wiring harness, I recommend the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter item # C59236. This will provide you with a 4-flat connector to control your trailer or accessory's lighting functions. If you are planning...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring Harness for 1998 Mercedes-Benz E320 Wagon
The only available trailer hitch option we offer for a 1998 Mercedes-Benz E320 Wagon is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11830 so that's what I recommend using. In regards to the trailer wiring, these will all be universal and our best option would be the Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit part # C59236. Please note, in order to complete your setup you'll also need the Curt Class II Drawbar part # C45521, Curt Hitch Pin and Clip part # F-4, and likely the Curt 2" Hitch Ball part # C40018.

  • What is a Recommendation for 2 Bike Rack on the 2002 Mercedes-Benz E320
For your 2002 Mercedes-Benz E320, I recommend the Thule Helium Aluminum 2 Bike Carrier # TH970XT, a hitch-mounted bike rack that tilts away from your vehicle for rear cargo access and features anti-sway cradles on arms that fold down for storage. I recommend this rack over the Thule OutWay Platform Style 2 Bike Carrier # TH65JV you referenced as it does not come into contact with your vehicle and is lighter. I have provided links to instructions for proper installation as well as a video...

  • What Does the Curt Hitch Look Like on a 2000 Mercedes-Benz E320 Wagon
It doesn't look like we have any install photos of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11830 on a 2000 Mercedes-Benz E320 Wagon at this time unfortunately. That said, as the hitch has a hidden cross tube, all you're going to see under the bumper is the receiver tube which is really the best you can get as far as appearance goes without being fully hidden (not offered).

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2003 Mercedes E320 Wagon
For your 2003 Mercedes E320 wagon trailer hitch # C11820 is the correct fit. This is for models built on the W211 chassis. There may have been some models built on the older W210 chassis. If you determine that you have one of them then the correct hitch is # C11830. If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum...

  • Adding a Hitch and Trailer Wiring to 2002 Mercedes Benz E-Class
There is a wiring harness available for your 2002 Mercedes Benz E-Class, and you need Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit # C59496, which is a fit for your vehicle. As for hitch # C11830 the holes would be drilled in the frame of the vehicle. They would be small holes that would only need to fit the 7/16" hardware of the hitch and would not affect your Mercedes.

  • Receiver Hitches to Fit 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E320 Wagon
Curt offers their light-duty 1-1/4-inch Class I hitch model # C11830 for your 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E320 Wagon. This is the only hitch option we offer for this vehicle. Installation is fairly complex (9 out of 10 difficulty level) and some drilling is required. Written instructions and a helpful article are linked.
