What is a Recommendation for 2 Bike Rack on the 2002 Mercedes-Benz E320
Question:
Please let me know the best bike rack for my 2002 E320, if the TH65JV is not recommended.

For your 2002 Mercedes-Benz E320, I recommend the Thule Helium Aluminum 2 Bike Carrier # TH970XT, a hitch-mounted bike rack that tilts away from your vehicle for rear cargo access and features anti-sway cradles on arms that fold down for storage. I recommend this rack over the Thule OutWay Platform Style 2 Bike Carrier # TH65JV you referenced as it does not come into contact with your vehicle and is lighter.
I have provided links to instructions for proper installation as well as a video providing a review of the rack I recommended.
If you go with this particular bike rack, you will need a hitch receiver. If you do not already have one, I recommend the Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver # 11830 for your 2002 Mercedes-Benz E Class if your vehicle is a wagon. It is custom fit for your vehicle with a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. If you own the sedan, I recommend the Curt Class I Receiver Hitch # C11744. I have provided links to instructions for these hitch receivers for proper installation.
When using a Curt hitch receiver for your bike rack, the manufacturer recommends using the Curt Hitch Bike Rack Stabilizer Strip # 18050. If the strap is not used, it will void Curt's warranty on the product. I have included a video that provides installation instructions for the strap.
If you intend to carry womens or childrens bikes that do not come equipped with a horizontal bar, I recommend the Thule Bike Adapter Bar # TH982XT. It provides level transportation of these types of bikes and gives more ground clearance. I have provided a link to a video review for this product.
