Adding a Hitch and Trailer Wiring to 2002 Mercedes Benz E-Class
Question:
I bought a trailer hitch and wiring for a Volvo 960. Unfortunately the car died. I know want to put a hitch on my 2002 Mercedes E320. I have a tailight converter that I bought from you for the Volvo Hopkins 310-0041-559 Rev B - can I use that converter for the MB. My order form lists 46255 as the part number. Also, Looking at the installation instructions of 11830, says I have to drill holes - am I drilling holes in the hitch mounting brackets or the cars body?

Expert Reply:
There is a wiring harness available for your 2002 Mercedes Benz E-Class, and you need Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit # C59496, which is a fit for your vehicle.
As for hitch # C11830 the holes would be drilled in the frame of the vehicle. They would be small holes that would only need to fit the 7/16" hardware of the hitch and would not affect your Mercedes.
