Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. And today we're taking a look at the Kwikee Refrigerator Sliding Tray. This makes it easy to get into a compartment where you have your freezer mounted. A lot of times to make more room inside the RV, it's a good idea to put things down into those compartments underneath the coach. So with having a freezer down there, you can make more room inside the fridge upstairs as well.
A lot of times space-saving is key for staying in the RV for a long time. So having your fridge located somewhere else makes the most of the usable space inside. The thing is that to get into there, it can be kind of tricky. So having a sliding tray makes it much easier to get into that lower compartment. So actually get anything in or out of the refrigerator. This tray allows us to slide out that fridge and get access to all our goodies inside.
So you can see we'll have these latches on either side of the tray to help you keep it in place during travel. So whenever you want to actually get in to the tray or slide it out, need to release those. Little awkward for me, just because nothing is mounted in place. So I have to kind of coax this guy out. There we go. But the nice thing about the bearings is that it is a spring loaded bearing.
And they are roller bearing so it's going to slide really nice and easily. And it extends out a full two feet, actually a full 27 inches from where it's mounted. So it gives you about two feet and three inches of space out extended from where it's located inside that compartment. So it should be enough space to get access fully into your refrigerator or your freezer. And then to close it up, just bring it all the way back until those latches snap down in place.
Now, as far as dimensions with this, I'll give you some numbers to go over. But first, I just want to tell you that how about how this is a nice powder-coated steel tray. It does not come with any mounting hardware. So that is something that you will have to pick up on your own.It does kind of depend on the compartment that you're loading it into, the different material that it might be as far as what hardware will work for you. So measurements from outside edge to outside edge, we're looking at about 33 and five 16ths of an inch wide. Front to back, it's a 28 and a 16th of an inch deep. The total height for the tray is about three and 11 16ths. So just under three and three inches. Our tray, the usable space inside it measures about 31 and three eighths inches by about 20 inches. You'll notice that it has an open design here, that's to allow our drainage and cooling coils to sit and do their thing without any kind of interference from the tray itself. So that helps the refrigerator do its thing and not have any kind of tray getting in the way of that. The weight capacity for this is 200 pounds. So you want to be sure to weigh the actual refrigerator or freezer before you put it in there. Just so you know how much weight you have to deal with, because that's going to be the total load of what's actually on the tray. So that includes the freezer as well or their refrigerator as well. It has a one-year warranty. It is made in the USA and that's about all there is to it for our look at the Kwikee Tray. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right piece for you. Thanks for watching. And we'll see you out on the road.

This fridge tray slides out of your RV or motorhome so you can access groceries in your secondary fridge without reaching into your dirty or cramped cargo compartment. The interior of the tray fits fridges up to 20" long x 31-3/8".The description of the tray is a little miss leading. I was of the opinion that the would extend out more than 11 inches, it is to hold a small freezer and 11 inches does not seam to be enough. The construction and material use in making the tray is of good quality.
