The team at etrailer did a phenomenal job keeping me updated on the status of my order, it shipped quickly and I am extremely excited to install and use it!

2009 Infiniti G37

I plan to use this for a cargo carrier, but I haven't yet. But I can review the installation and fit.
The installation is NO JOKE. The directions are confusing and vague. You must have all the proper tools - a good strong drill, deep sockets & wrench, crescent wrenches & we also had an impact driver, and the pull tool to get the black plastic buttons off without breaking them. "Fishwiring" the bolts in to place is difficult (it's actually impossible as the wire isn't long enough). We did not use the enclosed wire because it was ineffective. We duct taped the bolts to the rectangular washers & used teamwork, a flashlight, and a magnet to pull the bolts up through the holes. This is probably the most frustrating and time consuming part of the whole project. It took about 3 hours total.
In the 4th & 5th picture you can see the "white plastic clip" in step #2 that holds the bumper fascia on. We had to lift the fascia up to remove it from the top of the clip, it does not rotate at all.
In the 7th picture you can see the two tabs where you remove the tailights in step 2. It wasn't easy to guess what they meant, but we figured this must be them.
I tried to take more pics but the wonderful man who did this was not waiting for me to take the perfect shot! Can't argue with him.
In the directions, the aluminum bumper beam (step 6) and bumper reinforcement (step 7) are the same thing - not sure why they call it two different things. (See 3rd picture).
I hope this will help make it easier for the next person who installs this hitch. It looks great on the car and I can't wait to use it and finally have a place to put a cooler in my little coupe! :)

It worked great for me, carried a full cooler and beach chairs. I used ratchet straps to secure everything. Worked perfectly!

Great hitch and easy to install…if you have a professional do it! Very happy with it and look forward to many ebike rides at the beach! Thank you etrailer!!

2010 Infiniti G37

Costly for the amount of metal involved. Disappointed in the instructions (no video avail), and the fact that they didn't even include a rubber hitch cover (plug) with the order.

by:
2008 Infiniti G37

This is a good hitch. Works as it's suppose to. It could have been better if they didn't reuse a tube with a hole or cut off the hole so it can be welded better and looks much better. The installation was not easy. Couldn't understand some parts of the instructions without any pictures or diagrams. Much easier if you have a helper.

I placed my order on a Sunday and it arrived at my house by Wednesday so very fast shipping! The bike rack looks amazing so far. It was easily assembled after I installed my receiver onto my car also. I love the way it collapses down and locks bikes into place. I look forward to riding bikes after transporting this weekend! Just a great experience so far!

  • Is There a 2" Trailer Hitch for a 2014 Infiniti Q60 Coupe
The only trailer hitch option for a 2014 Infiniti Q60 Coupe are class I 1-1/4", the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11493. That said, you can use an adapter to get to 2", the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # HTAD but keep in mind these do reduce capacity by 50%.

  • Hitch and Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2014 Infiniti Q60
Any time you use a hitch adapter like the part # HTAD you end up cutting the capacity of the hitch in half. A Class I hitch has a pretty low capacity like the part # C11493 which has a 150 lb capacity, so when you cut that in half you don't have much capacity left for carrier and cargo. Instead you would be better of getting a cargo carrier that wouldn't require an adapter like the Reese Carrier part # 63155 and an compatible light kit # 20174 if your cargo blocks your vehicle lights. .

  • Is Fascia Trimming Required on 2010 Infiniti G37 Coupe to Install Curt Trailer Hitch
There is some trimming required on the 2010 Infiniti G37 coupe to install Curt trailer hitch # C11493. There is an area approximately 1-3/4 inches by 2 inches that will need to be trimmed off the bumper fascia. I have included a picture that shows the hitch installed on a vehicle and the area that gets trimmed. If you plan on doing some towing first check the vehicle owners manual for its capacities. The recommended ball mount is # C45521 and use # F-4 for the pin and cip. For a 1-7/8...

  • Bike Rack Recommendation for 2012 Infiniti G37
A hitch bike rack is a great option to carry up to 2 bikes on your 2012 Infiniti G37. One of my favorite hitch mount bike racks and the one that I recommend for you is the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2-Bike Rack # HR200Z. The Trail Rider can carry 2 bikes with maximum wheel bases of 60 inches, tires up to 3 inches, and up to 45 pounds per bike. This hitch mount platform bike rack will fit both 1-1/4 inch, Class I and Class II hitches, as well as 2 inch trailer hitches. To help the bike...

You will need to determine the weight of your Seadoo and trailer before you attempt to tow it with your vehicle. You also need to check the owners manual of your vehicle for the towing capacities and be sure to go with the lower rating between the hitch and vehicle as the overall capacity. Unfortunately, the only hitch available for a 2008 Infinity G35 as of October 2023 is the Curt C11493, and it only fits the Coupe and not the Sedan. For your Sedan, you could use the trunk mounted rack like the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms # Y02634. check out the attached video to see if a trunk mount would be right for you.

I have an option that does allow you to carry a bike rack with your 2009 Infinity G37, but since your vehicle is a convertible there are no trunk racks that will fit. Instead you would have to go with a hitch mounted bike rack. For that you would need to start with a hitch like the Curt part # C11493 which is a confirmed fit and would work well. The most popular bike rack we carry that has been confirmed to fit this vehicle is the Thule Camber 2 part # TH9058. We asked our demo and install...

  • Bike Rack Recommendation with Best Ground Clearance for a 2012 Infiniti G37X
Since your 2012 Infiniti G37X sits relatively low to the ground it would be beneficial to have a bike rack that has a rise in the shank. First, if you do not already have a trailer hitch, I recommend Curt hitch # C11499 for a sedan or the # C11493 for a coupe. These are both Class I hitches which means you will need a bike rack that is compatible with a Class I hitch. You are also limited to 2 bikes maximum. • Hitch Recommendation for a 2008 Inifiniti G37
The Curt # C11499 that you referenced is designed to fit newer versions of the Infiniti G37 so I cannot recommend it for your 2008 model. If for example you have a 2010 G37 this hitch would fit. The only hitch that we have that in confirmed to fit your vehicle is the Curt # C11493 that has been confirmed as a fit as long as you have a coupe. The only size and Class hitch offered for your 2009 Infiniti G37X is a light-duty 1-1/4-inch Class I hitch, and we offer two. The correct fit for your G37 will depend on the version of the G37 that you have, coupe or sedan.(We don't have one for the convertible as of 10/2023). • Trailer Hitch and Kayak Trailer Recommendation for 2006 Nissan 350Z
We have one solution that would work well but it's a bit pricey so I will warn you on that. The only way you'll be able to transport two kayaks with your 2006 Nissan 350Z is going to be with a hitch like the Curt part # C11493 and a kayak trailer like the Malone MicroSport Trailer part # MPG461G2. For trailer wiring you'd then want the part # C59236 and then for a ball mount part # C45521 and a hitch ball # A-82.

  • Trimming/Removing Bumper Cover to Install Curt Class I Receiver Part # C11068 on 2009 Infiniti G37
I spoke with one of my contacts at Curt Manufacturing, and was told that cutting the access slot behind the license plate would be sufficient. It is an either/or type of proposition. Some are not comfortable with the idea of cutting holes in the bumper cover even though those holes are concealed by the license plate, which is why the option of removing the bumper cover is available.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Fit for Bike Rack on 2015 Infiniti Q60 Convertible
The Curt # C11493 Class I hitch you'd looked at is a fit for the coupe model of the Q60, so it won't work for convertibles. The good news is that the # C11068 Class I hitch IS a fit for the Q60 convertible. The hitch has a 150 lb weight capacity, so you'll want to make sure that the 45 lb weight of the Thule # TH903202 EasyFlold bike rack and the combined weight of the bikes you're wanting to carry doesn't exceed 150 lbs.
