Is There Fascia Trimming Required to Install a Curt Hitch on a 2005 Nissan 350Z

Yes, there will be some rear fascia trimming required to install the correct hitch for your 2005 Nissan 350Z, Curt Hitch part # 11483. Check out the picture I attached to see what the trimming will look like. I also attached installation instructions for this product for you to check out also.
The Curt Hitch # 11493 that you referenced is designed for the 2006 Nissan 350Z and would not work for your 2005 model. For the record it requires fascia trimming as well.
