A hitch bike rack is a great option to carry up to 2 bikes on your 2012 Infiniti G37. One of my favorite hitch mount bike racks and the one that I recommend for you is the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2-Bike Rack # HR200Z.
The Trail Rider can carry 2 bikes with maximum wheel bases of 60 inches, tires up to 3 inches, and up to 45 pounds per bike. This hitch mount platform bike rack will fit both 1-1/4 inch, Class I and Class II hitches, as well as 2 inch trailer hitches. To help the bike rack fit a wide variety of vehicles, the rack has great bumper clearance, measuring 12-1/8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the wheel loop. I have attached a review video of this bike rack for you.
Platform bike racks secure your bikes at each wheel and the upper frame bar. By securing your bikes at 3 points, platform racks provide a secure hold for your bikes and there is not concern for the bikes swinging while being carried. With the wheel hoops, platform racks are also easier to load than hanging bike racks.
If you do not already have a trailer hitch on your Infiniti G37, we have options for each style of G37. If you have a sedan, I recommend the Curt # C11499. I have attached an installation video of this hitch on a similar G25 for you. If you have a coupe, you will want to use Curt # C11493.
The Curt Class I trailer hitches for the G37 will require the use of a stabilization strap # 18050 with all non-trailer loads, like bike racks.
