There is some trimming required on the 2010 Infiniti G37 coupe to install Curt trailer hitch # C11493. There is an area approximately 1-3/4 inches by 2 inches that will need to be trimmed off the bumper fascia. I have included a picture that shows the hitch installed on a vehicle and the area that gets trimmed.
If you plan on doing some towing first check the vehicle owners manual for its capacities. The recommended ball mount is # C45521 and use # F-4 for the pin and cip. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # C59236.
If you will be using the hitch for any non-trailer loads such as a bike rack or cargo carrier Curt requires the use of a stabilization strap, # 18050 for their warranty. The strap is designed to take up some of the stress from the hitch.
