Note: Ford OEM hitches have a tighter/different radius on their 2-1/2 inch receiver tubes. To accommodate the OEM Ford 2-1/2 inch hitch, the corners of a ball mount, shank or reducer sleeve may need to be sanded down to slide into the hitch. Do not remove any more material than necessary. Simply removing the paint or powder-coat is often sufficient. Never use a grinder to knock-down the corners, which may remove too much material and will also heat the accessory and could compromise the product's structural integrity. This is especially the case with cast accessories like larger weight distribution shanks.

Today we're going to take a look at the Reese tri-ball mount for 2-1/2" hitches, part number 45325. This tri-ball mount includes three different-size hitch balls on a hollow square shank. It allows you to tow trailers with different coupler sizes. It has a durable hollow steel contraction featuring a black powder-coat finish. And to switch ball sizes, all you would need to do is just remove it from your hitch receiver and flip it to whichever ball you want to use. This is the 2-5/16" ball, this is the 2" ball, and this is the 1-7/8" ball.
And again, just like any other ball mount, you would slide it into your receiver, match up the holes, and then you would take your pin and clip. Now this pin and clip is not included with this ball mount; however, you can get it right here at etrailer.com, part number PC3. Once you have the holes lined up, just slide that in there and clip it off, and you're good to go. Now, if you wanted to use one of the smaller hitch balls, just unclip that. So you want to use the 2" ball, flip it over to this side, slide that in, and then you would put the pin in, clip that off, and now you have a 2" hitch ball.
For further security, we also have a line of hitch locks right here at etrailer.com. Taking a look at some of the dimensions and specs for this ball mount. Once again, this does fit 2-1/2" trailer hitch receivers. The towing capacity for the 1-7/8" ball is 2,000 lbs., for the 2" ball is 10,000 lbs., and the towing capacity for the 2-5/16" ball is 14,000 lbs. Tongue weight for each: tongue weight for 1-7/8" ball, 200 lbs.; 2" ball, 1,000 lbs.; 2-5/16" ball, 1,400 lbs.
of tongue weight capacity. Taking a look at some lengths. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the 2-5/16" ball is 7-1/2". The center of the hitch pin hole to either the 1-7/8" ball and the 2" ball is 8-1/2". Also, there is no drop or rise with this item.
As you can see, it is completely even from the hitch receiver. And finally, there is a limited lifetime warranty for this ball mount. That should do it for our Reese tri-ball mount for 2-1/2" hitches, part number 45325.

GTW ranges from 2,000 to 14,000 lbs, depending on which ball is being used.My newer Chevy K3500 has a 2 1/2 inch square receiver so I was able too get rid of my 2" ball mount that was almost too heavy to lift and replace it with a new Reese tri- ball mount with a 14,000 lb Gross towing capacity and weighs less than 12 pounds.

Great product that fit my class v receiver hitch exactly. Great look on my 2017 Ram 3500.
Showed in stock when purchased, it was not in stock, and I am now waiting for a ship date to be determined.
Despite some of the conflicting reports on here about the Reese Tri-ball Titan Hitch fitting 2011 and up Super Dutys I took a gamble and it payed off. It fits my 2012 Super Duty with no issue. I didn't have to grind the corners or take the sticker off or remove any paint. Thanks for the great customer service and answering my questions.

Just as described. Quality. This is a back up hitch for me. Used it once. serves the purpose. etrailer had this in stock and got it to me quickly. I was surprised how hard it was to find one like this (straight) I couldn't find one in stores.

Perfect
The hitch fit my 2006 Ford F550 perfectly. I have a commercial receiver and the drawbar slid in with no issues. Nice and tight with no rattle. I have a variety of trailers with different ball sizes and there have been no issues using any of the ball sizes on the hitch. Along with the pin and clip that I ordered, the assembly makes a nice convenient package for my towing needs. Service was fast and the representatives were very helpful. I would recommend this for anyone having a 2 1/2 inch receiver and the need of multiple trailer ball sizes.
Fits up good, and look like a tough piece. I like that I only have to carry one piece for all the trailers too!

As mentioned, the piece fits all my ttrailers - works great!
Upgraded my truck which now has a 2.5" receiver instead of 2" receiver. Works great. Not sure I need tri-ball anymore. See no 1 7/8" balls, and very few 2" balls. But still some horse trailers with 2" balls. Also needed to buy a longers pin for the @.5" receiver.
Ordered 3 different hitched, each was exactly as described.
Excellent quality. Ordered arrived very quickly.
Will use etrailer again.

No problems, happy with the pirchase.
Couldn't believe product was actually manufactured by Reese. I had to bevel the leading edge with a bench grinder, grease both the the receiver and hitch, then drive it in with a 5 pound sledge. Then the pin holes didn't align properly to the receiver. When one hole was aligned, the one on the opposite side was off slightly in a vertical plane. So I also had to drive the pin in with the sledge. When I remove it, a similar process will be required. My vehicle is a 2013 F250 and another class 5 hitch I have fits perfectly.
Love the hitch. Ordered it and it was on our door step quickly.

Great. Good quality
I recently upgraded from a 2005 to a 2011 GMC 2500HD and found out that the receiver for this year is 2.5 inches. I found this Reese Tri-Mount on etrailer for the right price and it arrived after only 2 business days. I haven't towed with it yet but the fit and finish is top notch and the height is perfect. My truck still has the stock 265/70 17s. I also purchased the extra long receiver Deadbolt hitch pin that locks. It fits perfect and I now don't have to worry about someone stealing the hitch. Customer service at etrailer is the best of any online retailer that I have purchased from, very impressive.
The newer 2.5" mounts are hard to come by and can be quite expensive if you go to Vehicle Manufacturer or Auto Parts sites. etrailer had just what I needed and at a price similar to those for the mounts made for smaller receivers. What's not to like?
Purchased ball mount and realized it would not fit a Ford Factory Super Duty Hitch after the fact. I was told that Ford Manufactured their 2-1/2" receivers a bit smaller than standard.
I then purchased a Reese Titan Class V hitch and replaced the Ford factory hitch. The tri ball mount will not fit the Reese Titan receiver either.

I LIKE IT! Instructions indicated that if using in a FORD receiver that some paint removal and perhaps a bit of grinding may be required. That is true. I periodically grease the shaft and a bit of persuasion is required to install and remove it as it is quite snug. Snug suits me just fine as there is No rattling ,AND.. nobody without a bar or hammer is going to steal it. I use this on my FORD 350 diesel and pull 14,000 lbs regularly.

I know i read alot of the reveiws before buying this receiver. Every one said that would not fit ford factory installed hitch. I measured and it does fit my 2012 f 350. Great hitch

Good solid hitch, no issues. Use it for hauling dump trailer, roughly 8-10k when loaded. Never given me any problems
The triball hitch will do fine destroying the grill and radiator of tailgating vehicles.
