Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a tri-ball hitch solid shank with pintle hook. This is a ball mount with a pintle hook combo. The tri-ball mount with the pintle hook is an all in one time saving solution to handling different towing situations. With this unit, you can tow trailers with standard couplers, whether they have a 1 7/8" ball, a 2" ball, or a 2 5/16" ball. With this product, you can tow trailers that are equipped with the lunette ring, because we have the pintle hook located right here.It comes with three steel chrome plated hitch balls attached to the solid shank, as well as a cast steel pintle hook. So, you can tow up to 6,000 pounds with the 1 7/8" ball.

7,500 pounds with the 2" ball or pintle hook, and 10,000 pounds with the 2 5/16" ball. To switch between the differently sized hitch balls, all you need to do is take this out of your hitch and rotate it to whatever ball you need. Slide it back in. Line up the pinholes that line up with the pinholes in your hitch, and secure it with a hitch pin and clip, or a hitch lock. Those items are sold separately and available at etrailer.com.

The pinholes on this unit will accept a standard 5/8" diameter pin.Now we're looking at a nice, durable carbon steel construction. It's very strong, very durable. It's going to last a long time. The mount does feature corrosion resistant black powder coating finishing on it to keep it safe, and keep it looking good. It features a 2" solid steel shank.

Overall length of the unit, edge to edge measures 12 1/2" long. Now you'll notice that we have a set of pinholes here. This set is designed for when you're using the 2" ball or the pintle hook. Then you have another set of hole right here for the 1 7/8" ball, or when using the 2 5/16" ball. So we have around 9" from the center of the hitch pinhole to the center of the hitch ball when using the 2" ball or pintle hook.

Then around 7 1/2" from the center of the hitch pinhole to the center of the hitch ball when using the 1 7/8" or 2 5/16" ball.When you want to open this unit up to connect your lunette ring, all you need to do is pull out the included pin and clip. Take this, rotate it back. You can secure it in the open position. So when you just want to use the 2" ball with the 2" trailer coupler, you can place the pin through the lower set of pinholes. Place the clip on to secure it. That's going to keep this open. It also allows easy connecting to your lunette ring. Once you have your lunette ring connected, remove the pin and clip. Place this back over. Then reinstall it, and it will hold it in the closed or engaged position.
