  The Roadmaster Hitch Extender part # RM-071 is designed specifically for flat towing. A toad vehicle will not have much of a tongue weigh at all which is why this adapter is only rated for 100 lbs tongue weight (TW) and 6,000 lbs gross trailer weight (GTW). • Can the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Be Used For a Bike Rack and Cargo Carrier
  I do have an option for you but I cannot advise you combine two hitch adapters together like the Roadmaster Hitch Extender part # RM-071 and the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter part # RM-077-4 as this would be very unsafe.   This Roadmaster Trailer Hitch Extension # RM-071 would not be the correct hitch extension for you. You might be able to use an 8 Inch Hitch Extender for 2 inch hitches # e88YR. However, you should note that if you use a hitch extender you essentially cut the towing capacities of the hitch in half. The # RM-071 that you referenced is designed for flat-towing purposes only.
