Today we're gonna be taking a look at Maxxtow's Tri Ball Mount with the hollow shank for two inch hitches. You can get these with either black or chrome balls. This Tri Ball Mount is an inexpensive option, to be able to haul all sizes of trailers. You're got your one in seven eighth inch, two inch and two and five sixteenths inch, so you know you'll be compatible with anyone, no doubt to it.There are two sets of hitch pin holes on our ball to allow you to rotate it, so you can select the most appropriate ball for your application. The one in seven eighth inch ball's gonna be great for your smaller utility trailers and also your recreational trailers, like something you'd used to haul a jet ski. Our two inch ball's gonna be great for your medium to large sized utility trailers, or for hauling a boat trailer like we have here.Your two in five sixteenth inch ball's gonna be great for your largest utility trailers, your toy haulers, car haulers and campers.

Our one in seven eighth inch ball is gonna have a 2000 pound gross ton capacity and 200 pound ton weight. Our two inch ball is going to have a 5000 pound gross towing capacity and 500 pound ton weight, and lastly, our largest ball, the two in five sixteenth, is gonna have a 75 100 pound gross towing capacity, and a 750 pound ton weight. This model here is the hollow shank. Now there is a solid shank option that is available that does have higher weight ratings than our hollow shank here, but if you don't need the extra carrying capacity that the solid shank offers, then the hollow shank can be a little bit easier to use, because it been hollow greatly reduces the weight. But since it's still made of steel, it's still very durable. The shank is gonna have a black powder coat finish to help resist against rust and corrosion and on our model here we've got black powder coat on the balls as well, help prevent crush and corrosion but you can also get that with chrome balls. The chrome finish also prevents rust and corrosion.

A hitch pinning clip doesn't come included with it, but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com and to further secure your ball under your hitch, you can pick up a locking option as well. And that completes our look at Maxxtow's Tri Ball Mount with hollow shank for two inch hitches.

Great Hitch, reasonably priced

Gets the job done. It's a little sloppy in the receiver though so it makes noise I can hear inside the car.

by:

I am completely satisfied and pleased with the trailer hitch and accessories that were recommended by Samantha A. As a first time buyer I was impressed with the support I received and felt confident that the package I ordered was exactly what I needed. I definitely recommend this supplier.

Not much to say really, it is a tri-ball mount. Fits the receiver exactly and also the trailer for which I purchased this. Good product, good delivery, good price. No problem recommending this item or Etrailer.com.

  • Parts Needed To Install a 7-Way with a Brake Controller On a 1998 Chevrolet K1500 Pickup
In addition to the 4-Way # 41125 you will also need our 7-Way Kit # ETBC7 and a Brake Controller # 90195 for your 1998 Chevrolet K1500. I have linked an installation video at the bottom of the page which will show you the 7-way and brake controller being installed on a similar 1996 Chevy. I find most prefer to use a simple Tri-Ball Mount # MT70021 for towing since it has all 3 ball sizes for the different couplers used.

  • Calculating Trailer Hitch Ball Mount Rise/Drop For A Camper Travel Trailer
Yes, your measurements do sound correct. For a basic trailer I would recommend using a MaxxTow Tri-Ball Mount # MT70021 as it will have 0" drop or rise. So when the additional weight of the trailer is put onto your vehicle it will sag and sit very close to level. Since you mentioned it is a camper I highly recommend you use a Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37060ET. The system is rated for a trailer with a tongue weight of 200-600lbs and a maximum trailer weight of 6,000lbs,...

  • Is There A Fixed Straight Hitch For a 2" Receiver With a 2" Hitch Ball?
A Tri-Ball mount like the MaxxTow # MT70021 is going to be the only style ball mounts we have with no rise. You can use the Draw-Tite Ball Mount # 2923 in the rise position with a 2" Ball # 63845. This will only sit 3/4" above the top of the receiver opening. It would be the closest we have to the Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45147 you found.

  • Trailer Light Kit For 2016 Volvo V60
You can use a ball mount such as MaxxTow Tri-Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - Hollow, Black Powder Coated Shank - Chrome Balls # MT70021. This comes with a 1-7/8" ball, a 2" ball, and a 2-5/16" ball and fits a 2" receiver. For the trailer wiring you will want to get Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56287. This will simply connect to the factory tail light wiring and requires no splicing; you will need to connect the white wire to ground and the black wire to the positive...
