Replace your existing grease cap with a Bearing Buddy to ensure a safe, easy way to monitor and control the level of grease in your axle hub. To adjust the amount of grease in the hub, use a grease gun to add more through the appropriate fitting. Adding grease moves the Bearing Buddy spring-loaded piston outward 1/8".
The O-ring inside the barrel of the Bearing Buddy maintains a seal from the outside. The interior of the Bearing Buddy is pressurized, preventing water from entering the barrel and diluting the grease.
An automatic pressure-relief feature is built into the Bearing Buddy. When the device is full, grease will seep around the edges of the piston and into the barrel. This prevents overfilling that can damage the inner seal.
You can manually check the grease level in your Bearing Buddy by pressing on the edge of the piston. If you can rock or move the piston, the hub is properly filled.

These caps worked as a direct thread in cap to swap my Oil Bath bearing system to a greased bearings on my Tennessee boat trailer. I have had them installed for over a Year now and would recommend them to anyone needing to upgrade their trailer to something more reliable. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that they didn't thread into my hub as far as I thought they should but they haven't moved or backed out since installation.

Not so well, because of the bearing buddy the hub was over packed with grease the seal blew, the bearings froze and the wheel sheared off the cotter pin and cam off while towing. Now I have to replace the entire axle due to the damage.$1900. I am removing the bearing buddies and looking for a better solution.

These also replace turbo lube 48399 covers, I put them on my 2009 z520 ranger, took all of 15 minutes to change out, perfect fit, easy installation , feel much better having these vs oil bath, highly recommend. Great buy, very happy!!
Bearing buddy is still on the trailer and the wheel is still turning.

These bearing buddy's are the perfect replacement for my turbo lube dust caps which they no longer make. I swapped from an oil bath to a grease lube system on my boat trailer and couldn't be happier. Thanks for your great service!

If you own a trailer, this a must have! Don't ever risk repairing burnt out bearings along side the road with traffic whizzing by at 70mph, It only happened to me once!
Did not fit threads on hubs. The threads on the hub were cast and poorly at that. So I never could get them to fit. Other than that I think they would have worked great.

Hey Allen, can you tell me the hub bore you are trying to fit? This unit fits 2.441 hub bore. Make sure you measure with a micrometer.
