Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the CargoSmarrt latching D ring tie down anchor. Now this D ring adds an extra anchor point for your trailer, truck, or van. The latch mechanism located right here allows you to easily secure your tie down to the D ring. It's a simple bolt on installation. Mounting hardware not included. The unit's made from a durable steel construction with protective finishing to keep it safe from rust and corrosion.
I did take a measurement of the usable space side to side right here, got a measurement of about two and 1/4 inches. From the top of the bracket to the bottom of the D ring up and down, I got about three and 1/4 inches.The D ring diameter itself is a half inch. This right here is our mounting bracket. It's got a two hole design on it. The mount holes are separated apart from one another on center by two inches.
Measuring edge to edge going this direction it measures about three and 3/16. And then side to side this direction it measures about one and 3/4 inches. The unit features a safe working load limit of 400 pounds with a maximum load or brake strength of 1,200 pounds. Just keep in mind that tie down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit. So the weight of this secure cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the anchors being used.
