Support to assist in the exact replacement trailer coupler was exceptional, took a little bit of research and precisely nailed the correct match. This item was delivered in less than a week. etrailer was the way to go!

by:

Second spring using this coupler with no difficulties. Good product, works as intended, secure connection.

by:

Good replacement for my old rusted out coupler.

by:

Very happy with the product and price. I use the hitch daily on a quad pulled Polar trailer. It does see some rough surface going through logging roads and rough trails. Our dog enjoys it as well.

by:

Perfect fit, easy installation. Part and shipping reasonably priced.

by:

After searching several auto parts and trailer stores looking for a trailer trigger latch I found this company on line. They had exactly what I was looking for and the price was less than what I expected. When I ordered they told me when it would arrive and it arrived as stated in perfect condition. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for trailer parts.

Still working great.

by:

The trailer coupler I purchased was easily installed. I bolted it to the tongue of my lawn trailer so I now can hitch the trailer to any of three (3) lawn tractors as well as my wife's golf cart to move dirt, rocks, mulch and plants around the ranch.

by:

This coupler was exactly what I needed to convert our Polar ATV cart to a ball hitch.

Works well.

by:

I purchased a pair of 4.80 x 12 trailer wheels and tires, and they are exactly what I hoped for to replace the 4.80 x 8's that were on the trailer. I do not currently have any miles on them yet, hence the 4 stars rather than 5.
Quick delivery, and the box and its contents survived shipping admirably.
The bolt-on 1-7/8" coupler is a cost-effective replacement for my old rusty one.

by:

Hitch lock rusted solid over the winter on my small Outlaw trailer. Was able to remove the tongue and the replacement from Etrailer fit perfectly. No drama. Was able to quickly sell the boat and trailer...

by:

Very happy thanks

by:

Purchased so I could pull my lawn cart with my ATV. Item is exactly what I needed at an affordable price. This is my 2nd purchase from etrailer, and both times customer service and fast delivery were spectacular. Highly recommend!

by:

I think the coupler should come with new hardware, the coupler was replaced for a reason one was rusted nuts and bolts. You should at least gave the buyer the opportunity to buy hardware at the time you add the item!

by:

Bought this for a 4 wheeler trailer. Installed with ease, great price and simple to hook up. Have liked all the products I have bought from this site.

by:

Ordered this to replace a wrong size coupler on one of my trailers. Couldn’ find one locally. It works great, have had no issues with it. Price was right and ordering was easy. Received it very quickly. Very pleased with etrailer and will definitely order from them again.

by:

This item for a 2 inch tongue was hard to find locally. E trailer had it.

by:

The price was great and shipping was very quick. The trailer hit h was a perfect mAtch!!! Yes

by:

Product was received in good condition and was exactly what I ordered. No hick-ups or other issues. Quality of the product was good as expected. I would have no issues with ordering from this company again.

by:

Great product. Perfect fit for the swivel hitch I purchased. Fast shipping, and great communication. A+

by:

Everything went as expected

by:

Coupler is just what I expected. Could do without the stickers pasted all over it that don't peel right off though.

by:

Replaced the tongue on my trailer. I know it's bolt on yet I felt better welding it on. Worked perfect for me.

by:

Perfect replacement for original part.

by:

The parts I ordered were a a very good quality, and price, shipping was quick and very reasonable. Overall excellent service and no regrets.

by:

Just received all my parts, the quality looks great.
They kept me informed that the shipping was going to take a little longer because of the shut down was nice.
Thanks

  • Replacement Coupler Recommendation for Wood Splitter with 2 inch Wide Channel
You'd have to have a new coupler welded on most likely since the bolt pattern of your current coupler isn't standard. The part # CT-2001-Z is designed for a 2 inch wide channel and can be welded on. It's designed for a 1-7/8 inch ball as well.

  • Option For 1-7/8 Inch Coupler For 2 Inch Channel For Swivel Safe Hitch
We may have an option for a coupler that works, but we don't offer the Swivel Safe brand, so we don't have any fits we can confirm. So the best I can offer are dimensions of our couplers that fit a 2" channel and attach to a 1-7/8" hitch ball. For a coupler that has mounting holes that are 3/8" diameter and spaced 2-1/4" apart, there is an option: - Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-2001-Z

  • Repair Kit for Shelby Coupler Availability
There is not a repair kit we carry for Shelby couplers so you will need a new one. Our couplers are designed to fit channel tongues that are a minimum of 2" wide so you would need to use a pair of steel shims for Coupler # CT-2001-Z, which works with a 1-7/8" hitch ball and has a 2000 lb capacity. I've added a link to a video review of this coupler for you to check out.

  • Recommended Hardware to Install the Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-2001-Z
There isn't a specific hardware recommendation for the Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-2001-Z, but your best option would be to go the highest grade possible. The bolt mounting holes have a 3/8" diameter to give you an idea of what size bolts you need.

  • Replacement 1-7/8" Trailer Ball Coupler For a 2004 Shelby 5128 Coupler
The Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-2001-Z is a 1-7/8" ball coupler that fits a 2" channel like your Shelby 5128 coupler. This coupler has 3/8" mounting holes that are spaced 2-1/4" on center. The mounting bolts can be sourced locally.

  • Mounting Hole Dimensions & Spacing on Bolt-On Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler CT-2001-Z
I went to our warehouse and measured the Bolt-On Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-2001-Z for the dimensions you asked about. Each mounting hole has a 3/8-inch diameter and their center-to-center spacing is exactly 2-1/4-inches.

  • Is It Possible To Replace Shelby 5128 Coupler with 2 Ball Coupler?
Yes, but all of the the couplers for 2" wide channels and 2" hitch balls use a different bolt spacing than the 2-1/4" spacing your Shelby 5128 coupler uses. However you can still use a 2" ball coupler like # DL13835 which has a 3" bolt spacing, but you'll just need to drill holes as needed. If drilling holes is a no-no for you, then you'll need to stick with your existing coupler, or replace it with another 1-7/8" coupler like # CT-2001-Z which uses the same 2-1/4" spacing as your current...

  • Tee Nee Boat Trailer Coupler Installation with Bolt Holes Misaligned
It sounds as if the holes in the trailer frame are not drilled straight through the tongue, or that the coupler spread a little bit after it was stamped at the factory. The coupler should conform to the shape of the frame when installed. The first thing I would try is use a C-clamp around the coupler, and squeeze the coupler to the frame. This way you can check to see if the bolts will align and slide all the way through the coupler and frame. If you cannot get the bolts to align in...

  • What is the Mounting Hole Spacing for 3.5K Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler CR-3001-Z
No, the hole spacing on coupler # CT-3001-Z is actually 3-1/16 inches as measured by our video demonstrator in the video I have linked. The holes for coupler # CT-2001-Z are spaced 2-1/4 inches apart on center.

  • Is The Mounting Bolt Pattern On The CT-3001-Z The Same As The CT-2001-Z?
The Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler - 1-7/8" Ball # CT-2001-Z has bolt spacing measuring at 2-1/4 inches, but the Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler - 2" Ball # CT-3001-Z is larger at 3-1/16 inches, so it will not be a direct bolt on replacement, unfortunately. With that being said, drilling another mounting hole in the tongue of your trailer will be less expensive than the alternative. Which would be buying a ball mount with a 1-7/8" ball so you can use it with the # CT-2001-Z. I will say...

  • Replacement Towbar, Coupler, and Caster Wheel Availability for an LCI-851T Trailer
I found a parts list online but it looks like the only thing we carry that would fit your LCI-851T trailer is a replacement coupler. We have 1-7/8" hitch ball couplers that fit a 2" channel # CT-2001-Z, 2-1/2" channel # CT-2002-Z, and a 3" channel # CT-2003-Z depending on the size of the towbar. We don't have any towbar (I-beams) or caster wheels for your trailer though so if this is an older trailer you may consider investing in a new trailer that you can easily find replacement parts for.

  • Hitch Ball with 1-7/8
As long as the hitch ball that you install on your tow vehicle is 1-7/8" in diameter then the Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-2001-Z that you referenced will work just fine. I went out to the warehouse and compared it with the Draw-Tite 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19256 and it all fit just fine. You will want to make sure that you completely open the latch on the coupler to ensure that there is enough space for the hitch ball to insert into the trailer coupler.

  • Trailer Coupler Recommendation that Fits 2 inch Wide Trailer Trailer Tongue
While Demco does not have a coupler that fits on 2 inch wide trailer channel we do have the etrailer part # CT-2001-Z that does fit that channel size and would work great. It has a trigger latch design that is very common and works great.

  • Trailer Coupler Recommended for Trailer With 2-5/8 Inch Round Tube Tongue
I don't have an option that would bolt or weld right up to your 2-3/8 inch diameter pipe, but if you're handy we have an option or two that could work for you with a little welding and fabrication work. We do have a round tube tongue coupler that could work, but it's for a 2 inch trailer ball so you'd need to replace your existing 1-7/8 inch ball with a 2 inch. I'd recommend using the # BD028383 which is designed for a 3-1/2 inch pipe, so you'd need to shim the 2-3/8 inch pipe you have...

I took a look at each of the 2,000 lb trailer couplers that fit a 2" channel and connect to a 1-7/8" hitch ball, and none of them have bolt hole to bolt hole measurements of 1-1/4". The Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-2001-Z has a 2-1/4" on center measurements. The 1-1/4" bolt hole to bolt hole measurement you have is going to be too small for any of the current trailer couplers so what I strongly recommend is that you drill new holes which will allow you to use the coupler of your...
