Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the SMARTSTRAPS 10-Foot Ratchet Straps Tactical Ratchet Tie Down Straps with the S hooks and a 1000 lb working load limit for a quantity of two straps. Now these heavy duty tie down straps will let you secure cargo in your truck bed or trailer. Sort of perfect for hauling a motorcycle, ATV, UTV, or other equipment. The ratchet handle right here makes it very easy to tighten and maintain tension on the strap. It's a large handle, has a diamond pattern knurling, which will provide a nice maximum grip while you're tightening and loosening the strap.
Right up here. If you pull on this, that's a trigger release pull. This will quickly disengage the ratchet when you're ready to unload. They do use synthetic washers on this one. It makes ratcheting action very smooth and quiet. Actually, you can see just by ratcheting it, you don't hear a normal click, click, click.
It's pretty quiet because of those washers. They do have protective caps to help keep the ratchet mechanism clean. And if you notice on the handle itself, they have these rubber bumpers all around it to protect your cargo from any scratches.Webbing of the strap, it's a smart web webbing, which is stronger and more abrasion resistant than standard webbing. They do use the steel S hooks that let you anchor your strap to the rails, edges or other similar tie down points. And these hooks having rubber coating on them so it helps prevent scratches on your gear.
The securing strap right here you can see, makes it very easy to tie off any excess webbing or to keep your straps bundled after use.Right here, they have this sewn in soft tie loop to prevent any scratching and you just run your hook through there just like that. Now it does come with this storage case to store the two straps in. You can see I've already left one in there. Basically it just snaps into place right there and then on the back you store your extra strap and hook and everything right down in there. It does hold two straps.A few specs on this, the strap dimension, it's 1/3 16th inches wide, 10 foot long.
Maximum load or break strength is 3000 lbs. The safe working load limit is 1000 lbs. It is for a quantity of two ratchet straps. One note I do want to mention on tie down straps, they must be chosen according to their safe working load limit. The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps that are being used.So for example, if you're using straps with a working load limit of 500 lbs each to tie down a load that's weighing a 1000 lbs, then you'll need at least two straps to safely secure that load. And it is recommended to that you all use straps in pairs. But again, just to show you the handle right here, it'll pull everything in. If you pull up on this pull to release it, if you want to unload it, pull up on that pull all the way, pull it all the way to the very end and let it go and that allow you to unload and pull out the strap as much as you need, just like that and pull it out.And when you're ready to ratchet it again, just pull that pull, unhook it and then put it back into ratchet position and it'll let you ratchet it into place. Very nice, well-built ratchet system. But that should do it for the review on the SMARTSTRAPS 10-Foot Ratchet Straps Tactical Ratchet Tie Down Straps with the S hooks and a 1000 lb working load limit.

Great product info on page and very prompt delivery. On unboxing, straps seem very sturdy and well built, as advertised. There are no instructions on how to thread the straps, so if you are not familiar with ratchet straps that will take you a little interwebs research. Awaiting delivery of my UTV, so will update after I get a chance to use them real world.
I had an issue with the shipping but the customer service handle it perfectly.
