It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Combination Lock Carabiner

Lockstraps combination locking carabiner

Secure your cargo better with this unique tie-down strap. The built-in, locking carabiners at both ends of the strap are supremely easy to use. Just set the combination locks with the tip of a ballpoint pen before the first use. Then all you have to do to lock down your equipment is clip the carabiners in place. No need for extra cables and locks. The sturdy, powder coated steel hooks measure 6-1/2" long, making them strong enough and large enough to fit almost any application.

Durable, Secure Construction

Not only are would-be thieves unable to unlock the carabiners on this tie-down strap, but they'll be hard pressed to slice through it too. A stainless steel interior cable runs the entire length of the double-nylon strap for superior strength and durability. In addition, both the locking carabiners are secured to the strap with heavy-duty steel rivets, making for a supremely strong, durable, theft-resistant tie-down.

Video Transcript for Lockstraps Cam Buckle Strap with Combo Lock Carabiners and Soft Ties Review

Here at etrailer, we have a lot of cool stuff. Whether you're just out on the parking lot tailgating with a bunch of friends, you're getting some work done around the house, or you're just bringing power with you on your campsite, you definitely wanna lock all the stuff down. When someone walks past a rig that doesn't have any theft-deterrents on it, you're probably going to have one of them go missing. With these, the Lockstraps, are gonna give us a little code right here to be able to loop it through all of our stuff and lock it into place so it's gonna be a nice theft-deterrent so your stuff will stay put. There are so many different ways we can use this strap, a lot of different configurations. So if you're just on the trails or something, you can wrap this little smaller section with our carabiner around a tree or something like that, and this is gonna be a fixed length.

But you go down here, we have a little cam buckle, so we are gonna be able to adjust this. Depending on your situation, if you want the carabiner to be on the short side, go ahead and do that. And then if you want it to be on the long side, obviously, you can go ahead and push this down and adjust it. Nice thing about it is it's just super universal. You can really tie down so many different things in so many different instances.

So the way we have it here, basically, the short-loop side, we just have around the generator. And then the long-loop side, since we have multiple different things to do, we're looping it in throughout the frame of the power washer and then, of course, through here and then to the plank that's gonna keep it secure. So as you know, as you can see, it's a lot of different things you could do with it. So just figure it out when it comes to tying down all your stuff. One thing I would use this for is my dirt bike.

It would be really nice to be able to just keep my bike somewhere at the park where I'm riding and it's not gonna go anywhere, whether it's on the etrailer motorcycle carrier or not, but also, I always bring my generator around just because it gets hot and I need fans. So what I'm gonna do for any hitch-mounted accessory, really, is take the short side, and I'm gonna go through my little safety chain loops just like that. I'm going to, one, just lock the cargo carrier just like that. Scramble it up real good. Wanna make sure no one's gonna guess it.

And then I'm gonna take the longer side and go like this. Play along, go all the way through to my generator, and check that out. It's not going anywhere. So now if I'm out at park or anything and there's just a lot of people around, they're gonna see this and not attempt it. If someone just comes up to the back of a random vehicle, nobody knows if that's their vehicle or not. And if it's not tied down, they could just lift this off and just all the way along to wherever they're gonna take it. But when there is something like this, they're gonna see the struggle and people are gonna notice that. So just having something on here is gonna help. This is gonna be stronger than your standard nylon straps. It's gonna actually have two of them. So there's gonna be two little straps, and they're gonna be hugging a nice braided, stainless steel cable on the inside. So with this, you do have some tools. You'll eventually get through it, but that's what any lock that anybody really sells. You have the right tools, maybe you could do it in a couple minutes. If you have the best tool, you can do it in a couple seconds. But this is just gonna give you an extra little bit of time, and people are just gonna see this. They're gonna see somebody struggling, trying to cut a ratchet strap, and then maybe that may raise some suspicion if you're not around. But it's definitely a lot better than just leaving, just leaving your stuff just laying out 'cause someone can just walk up to this and just wheel it. That may just look normal in the campgrounds. If someone's cutting ratchet straps or this lock strap, that's not normal. So someone will definitely think it's a little suspect. So I would definitely say it can be cut through, but it's just gonna keep honest people honest. We do have some heavy-duty steel rivets that are gonna hold this in place, which is always nice. It just adds to the structure of it. Then we are gonna have couple dimensions to go over. One, it's gonna be about 6 1/2 inches long. And at its widest point, about up here, it's gonna be about three inches wide. And then we are gonna have a decent gap when it's all the way to the side. I like how it does that because it gives you the most out of it. And that's gonna be about 2 1/2 inches, which is decent. So wherever you plan on looping that through, it's gonna be plenty of stuff. So if you wanted to just grab this, we do sell this separately on our website as well. As far as the straps go, they're gonna be twice as thick as your normal ratchet straps, and they're gonna be about an inch and a half wide and about 8 1/2 foot long. To set your own combo on a lock, all you need is a little pen, and you're gonna pull it down and pull it out. What we're gonna do, whatever is going since it's obviously unlocked, so zero, zero, zero is what it's on now. But on the inside, that little tiny pin, we wanna do is take the pin and push it down. A ballpoint pen is perfect for this. And we don't want this all to push down. We just want that middle pin to push down. What I recommend is just doing one number at a time because I did this earlier and I actually did all of them, didn't write it down and forgot. So now I'm just gonna do six, zero, zero, and let that off just like that. As you can see, it's still unlocking, so then that is gonna be our new code. So definitely write it down. Make something that makes sense to you, but don't make it too obvious, of course. But then one thing I would recommend is we do have some covers. So these things do have a lot of metal to 'em. So you don't want the water and rain to get to it if you are in that kinda climate or if it's just outside for a while. You just slide it over the top. Or you do have a little hook and loop on the side as well, so you could do it either before or after you lock it up. So let me go ahead and type in my new code. Six, zero, and zero. Lock it into place, scramble it up, take the covers, and we're good to go. It's gonna be nice and safe from the rain. To sum it all up, I really do think these things are gonna be useful but mainly in very populated places. I was talking to the guy who designed this, and he says that there was a couple of different strollers stolen at the Disney World just because someone could just walk up to 'em and no one knows anything different. You don't know if it's theirs or not. And also, there was a drummer who uses them for his drums because he had his drums stolen before. So definitely going to be for the more populated places like a campground and such like that. It's probably isn't gonna be best for leaving it forever in a little secluded section by your house or shed when you're on vacation 'cause it might get stolen that way. But all in all, it's gonna be a great deterrent. And that's basically it for our look at the Lockstraps..

The strap on the other hand is 5 out of 5 stars! If possible I’d give it 10 out of 5 stars! The strap is what was expected. Well made and useful. More impressive is the customer service I received from Jeff at Lockstrap. I made a mistake setting the combination for one of the locks and was not able to figure it out. I emailed the customer service at lockstrap but never expected to hear something back. Not only did Jeff call - he called on a Saturday in the middle of his vacation! I was floored! He gave me instructions on how to figure out my mistake and his suggestion worked. Amazing customer service! I cannot recommend Lockstrap and Jeff high enough!

These locking straps work great, I've used them to secure motorcycles to the trailer or my kayak to the roof rack. Super easy to set the combo.

These straps work well. My issue is that they were described as being good for 1,500 lbs, but the box they come in says they're only good for 500 lbs :/

There is a difference between maximum load and working load limit or WLL. We list both of these in our description and they are 1,500 lbs and 500 lbs respectively. 1,500 lbs is the limit of the strap, where it will break. 500 lbs is most load that should be applied in a sustained application.

This is very strong and sturdy and can be used for many purposes.
