Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Today we're going to take a look at the SmartStraps Ratchet X 30-foot long ratchet tie-down strap with the double J-hooks. Has a 3,333-pound working load limit. Now, this tie-down strap will let you secure your cargo in your truck, bed or trailer. Uses this match ratchet mechanism here. It's fairly easy to tighten down and maintain tension on this strap. Has a nice molded padded power-grip handle.
Provides maximum leverage while tightening or loosening the strap. The very middle here, it has a release pawl. That'll let you loosen the strap when you're ready to unload. Just pull that release pawl all the way to the other end. Lock it in place, and that will allow you pull this out as much as you need.
Then when you got as much as you need, just release it, and it will go back to ratchening. If you notice, it has a nice durable stamp steel rails on the handle here. They do use these protective hex caps on the ratchet mechanism to help keep it clean. The webbing on this is a nice smart webbing which is stronger, more abrasion-resistant than standard webbing. It's very similar to seatbelts. It gives you extra long webbing on the attachment end for hard to reach anchor points.
The plated steel double J-hooks on each end will let you anchor the strap to rails, edges or other similar tie-down points.Dimensions on this, it's two-inch wide webbing, 30 feet long. We mentioned the maximum load break strength, it's 10,000 pounds. The safe working load limit will be 3,333 pounds. This is a quantity of one tie-down. Note, I do want to mention is tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit.
The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps that are being used. Just an example. If you're using straps that have a working load limit of 500 pounds each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 pounds, then you'll need at least two straps to safely secure that load. It is usually always recommended that you use straps in pairs.Again, you can just ratchet in whenever you need. Then if you need to release it, just pull on your release pawl. Put it all the way to the end, lock it into place. That will allow you to pull out as much as you need. That should do it for the review on the SmartStraps Ratchet X 30-foot long ratchet tie-down strap with the double J-hooks.
