Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

CargoBuckle Mini G3 Retractable Tie-Downs with Angled Mounting Brackets

The included brackets and hardware let you permanently mount the 1" wide ratchet straps to any flat surface. And the mounting brackets are angled so that the tie-downs are tilted at 45 degrees. This angle allows you to position the tie-downs around obstacles on the trailer frame, floor, or walls. It also makes it easier to pull the straps out and operate the ratchets.

CargoBuckle's third-generation tie-down straps simplify the securing and unloading of your cargo. They have a self-retracting design, so there is constant tension on the strap and minimal ratcheting is required to secure your load. Dual safety locks keep the ratchet arm in the open or closed position, so the ratchet will not accidentally loosen or tighten up.

Instead of always having to find and store tie-down straps that hook to the anchor points on your trailer, you'll always find CargoBuckle straps right where you need them. Just pull up on the hook and strap, attach the hook to your cargo, and then operate the ratchet a few times. No more searching for a tie-down strap or dealing with extra webbing that flaps in the wind. And when you're ready to unload, simply push the release lever on the ratchet, free the hook from your cargo, and let the strap retract back down into the ratchet housing.

Video Transcript for CargoBuckle Ratchet Straps - Retractable Strap - IMF103745-77 Review

Today were going to review part number IMF1003745-77. These are the CargoBuckle G3 Retractable Ratcheting Tie-Downs with the angle mounting brackets. These heavy-duty retractable ratchet straps make it easy to secure your load when towing or hauling. They do tighten down quickly with the sure grip rubber-coated handle which makes it easy to grip and control with one hand. There is a push button release located right under the handle and when you push it; itll release the handle to move up and down. The ratchet also does have dual safety locks which are cut out on each side of the housing and which will allow you to put your handle in the lock position.

It also has a vinyl-coated steel S-hook which will help protect your cargo from any scratches. The ratchet does have a corrosion-resistant steel body. The strap is a seatbelt-quality polyester webbing. It is covered with a sturdy plastic housing and on the inside is a zinc-coated steel spring. The width of the strap is 1 inch length is 6 feet.

Does have a maximum load strength or breaking strength of 1400 pounds. The actual safe working load limit would be 1/3 of that, which is 466 pounds. This part number does come with a quantity of 2 ratchet straps, and the 2 angle mounting brackets, and the mounting hardware. The angle mounting brackets will allow you to permanently mount to your truck bred or trailer frame. It can be mounted on the wall or on the floor.

And what it will do is it will allow the ratchet to raise up at a 45-degree angle, which will make it easy to reach the handled ratchet, and it keeps the strap in a nice straight position. It does include the mounting hardware. And I just want to give an example of how the ratchet strap actually works. What you would do is pull up on the release and put the handle all the way in the upright position, thatll allow the strap to stand out. It does retract back automatically.

So once you would hook your S-hook to your tie-down point, it keeps tension on the line which will keep it over your cargo. When you push the release button, move the handle down to your ratchet position. That will allow you to ratchet up and tighten your strap around your cargo. One you get it tight, just pull up on the release, move it to the lock position and thatll lock everything in place, keep your cargo secure. When it comes time to remove your cargo, push the release and move the handle all the way upright position, thatll release the tension in the strap. Remove the S-hook from the tie-down point. Your strap will retract back into your housing. These parts do have a 1 year limited warrantee. And that should do it for part number IMF103745-77.

Great product! mounted them on my motorcycle trailer for transferring bikes. The brackets that came with the kit are a perfect angle all I do is ad the soft ties to the bike pull out the strap attach and ratchet them snug and I'm ready to go it's just that simple and quick to use as there always ready. No more fumbling around adjusting the length of regular tie down straps.

We received our order quickly. My grandson installed the ratchet tie downs on my husband's scooter lift. They work perfect. We have used these for several years and are very pleased with them. They are easy to use and keep his scooter secure as we travel.

Apparently a batch were not made correctly but they replaced them quickly. After a year, I have 4, they have pretty much held up, and held everything in place. The automatic retraction kinda died on two of them but the ratchet part works so I can still tighten no problem.I am very happy with the product, and the man behind his product.

I mounted these straps on my 5x10 trailer. I love these straps. Work very well. They pivot making them very versatile, to hook to, and mount at different locations on the machines I transport. I installed with a very large fender washer between trailer and strap, with grease on both sides. Tight, but still moves. Not to loose to cause extra noise or problems. Only negative comment I have, is regarding the mounting bolts, washers and nuts. One package was open when I unboxed it, and all mounting hardware was missing. I purchased additional bolts, nuts, and washers, (stainless steel), and mounted the straps. I am awaiting a response from etrailer regarding this matter.

These straps are a big time saver, and more importantly, secure the load on my trailer better for peace of mind.

The CargoBuckle G3 ratchet tie-down straps and 45 degree mounting brackets worked great. Makes loading and unloading a breeze.

by:

Attached these to my boat trailer. Excellent transom straps. Easy to install.

by:

Why struggle with straps? I was touring around the country with my motorcycle with my cousin and with these straps we were off and on the trailer in under five minutes

These devices are everything I hoped when I did my research. I have used them several times and they made an impression on the merchants to whom I was bringing devices for service/repair and the people helping me with loading.

The straps retract as advertised. I was a little concerned at first that the springs would eventually weaken and fail to retract but that has not happened. I don't use these that often, but they consistently work well when I do.

I had some difficulty locating them on my trailer. I positioned them with my UTV loaded, and should have spent a little more time with the location. They all work but the ratcheting handle is difficult to use because of some parts of the trailer frame. My fault. On the tail gate, I have to clamp them down with the gate lowered. I could grind out a bit here and there to address this but I don't feel it is worth the extra trouble and I don't want to introduce any structural weakness or sharp edges.

There are offset brackets I could have purchased but I opted against them. These straps have a rating for weight. So do the offset brackets, which is lower than the ratchet straps, and I figured I could only count on the lower of the two ratings. This was confirmed by someone at the company. I am probably being way too sensitive, and the offset brackets would have provided (my opinion) a better angle for the strap as it comes off the ratchet device. This is NOT a problem, just something I considered while doing my research.

I really love that I have these on my trailer at the ready whenever/wherever needed. I have also considered getting two or four more for the sides of the trailer. I often haul lumber on my trailer and the straps front and back of the trailer are not as easy to use for that. I hook them together crosswise and it works. With a 10 foot trailer and six foot straps, I'm at the limit of the straps as they are installed.

I was concerned about where to drill into my trailer frame to install the straps. I was afraid that this would weaken the frame at the attachment point because of the drilled hole. Tech support said this was not an issue. I'm not an engineer, but I try to consider everything. It has not been an issue for me.

My trailer has a 2x6 treated wood floor. This was a bit of an installation issue. I had to chisel out some of the wood at the attachment points for the bolt holding the straps onto the trailer. There was no mention of this in the write-up. No videos or suggestions. Again, I got it done and have not had to give it further thought.

Overall, I'm quite happy with the product. On the first contact, no one responded to my email for info. After that, I got quick response and an apology for the first experience. I had questions and they were answered quickly and satisfactorily.

I live in Northwestern Pennsylvania. Winters were a concern at first because these are exposed to everything. Weather has not been an issue.

I can recommend the straps without reservation and also the tech support for answering questions. I have had no issues at all. I would buy these again, and I may for the sides of my trailer. I don't have photos of the installation, but every one is going to be unique anyway so I don't think they would add much to this review.

by:

These are really handy, use them hard mounted on our roof rack to tension our shade wing on the van. Works really nice and stores small when not in use

by:

Excellent quality and great hardware included. I really like the retractable aspect and the nice firm and tight ratchet mechanism!! Far far better than a similar one I bought that was rated for 1000lbs!!!!! I’m very very happy with this product!!!

by:

The straps ripped on first use don’t buy straps are ripped want a refund!

I purchased 4 of these to tie down a mini skidsteer on the trailer. Overall, I've been happy with the product, but there are some things I don't like.

First, it speeds up the tie-down process. I can tie the four corners in just a few minutes, when it was taking about three times as long with chains.
Also, I was afraid that it couldn't handle the weight of my machine. I've had no problems there.

There are, however, some things I don't like. First, one strap rubbed up against a part of the trailer, and within about two months of rubbing in the same spot, the strap frayed and broke. Now, it's useless. Second, if the strap is angled where it is not going in or out exactly straight, the edge of the strap cuts into the plastic cover. the strap is holding up, but it does cause it to get stuck as it wedges into the plastic part.

If they could fix those things, I'd give it an excellent rating.

Replaced worn cargo buckles with this retractable ratchet tie down system. Works great! They are so strong they can bend the frame on our wheelchair lift. So once they are tight, pay attention to item you are securing, as cargo buckles are extremely strong!Perfect fit and arrive ahead of schedule. Thanks!!

by:
