Can be keyed alike to match other etrailer locks.My Rv didn’t come with a spare tire. This is the finishing part for the spare tire setup on my Class C motorhome. Nice inexpensive deterrent when I’m away. Super easy installation, just twist about 4 times and take out the key and replace rubber cap.
Proven lock design, like the best hitch-pin lock systems. And getting them keyed-alike just makes the wheel lock idea even better. The quality machine work and heavy duty lock barrel makes me confident that my spare tires will be safe and secure!
Better than using a cable with a padloc k.

Best spare lock I’ve found, all you do is drill a 9/16” hole through your backing plate and insert either end of the lock and use the key to screw it till tight and remove the key. The lock screws into itself...GENIUS! Spare tire and wheel is now safe!
Very solid . My only issue is, it is not easy to mount the tire onto the frame. The carriage bolt do not lock in to the frame, and keep rotating and slipping out of the mount. It might be nice to have some movable guides for the carriage bolts to lock into once the tire holes are lined up.

Hoped it would work on the Malone trailer but it does not.
We are headed to Alaska in September and needed a trailer hitch receiver for our 2015 Forester so we could mount a full size tire to have in case we blew a tire. Always great products and service from trailer. I haven’t installed spare tire holder but it looks good. I’ll be buying a spare tire and wheel soon to attach to this spare holder for my trailer.

Great to have for securing spare tires, gives a little extra piece of mind having the tire actually locked on.
The locks I purchased were to lock the top of a customized aluminum trailer top for a cross country camping trip. The locks were perfect - I did my research and you folks followed thru on technical advice & the order, etc. I would like to able to provide extended review, however due to the fact that my camping equipment (sleeping bag/tent, etc) were rated/designed for above 40 degree temp, I had to turn back in Montana (Yellowstone) as the temp was 25-28 degrees & and I froze during the 1st night. Envision making an espresso on my trailer (outside) in 25 degree temp. Not good; so I returned immediately to the Oregon coast. But your locks were terrific!!!!!!!!!!
Works as expected
The products worked as well as we expected from talking with etrailer employees and looking online. It was easy to install. We wanted to be able to have a spare tire carrier utilizing the two inch receiver hitch and with the extra two inch receiver we can carry our bicycles or pull our boat or 4-wheelers. I would recommend this product for this type of purpose.
The spare tire lock works great with my Roadmaster spare tire mount. I did have my service guys drill a third hole for it, have the 2 to mount the tire and one to lock it.I am very happy with the product and service i get from Etrailer.Everything I have ordered from them were top quality and worked as advertised. I have a even had my service techs order things from etrailer to be installed on my class Thor. I will use them again

Quality product works great, even here in my coastal corrosive, saltylocation. Two spares, so locks keyed alike was a good option for me.
