Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products Window Knob. This is going to replace one worn out or broken knob for your RV windows, or even some of your vents. It's going to work with one inch shafts. The outer dimension is going to be right about two and a quarter inches.
It's going to give you plenty of room. It's going to be easy to grab and turn. We've got the indentations here to make it a lot easier for our fingers to grab hold of.The total thickness of our knob is about one and five sixteenths of an inch. Our clearance, we're going to be right about 13 sixteenths or just over three quarters of an inch. The outer diameter of our shaft here, we measured with a digital caliper earlier.
And it came out to about 0.43 inches, which is just a little under seven-sixteenths of an inch. The inner diameter, again with the calipers, was about 0.3 inches or just shy of nine-sixteenths of an inch.The kit comes with the one knob and the one replacement screw. The screw is one and three-sixteenths of an inch long. It's an #8-32 rounded head machine screw. So it's going to be sufficient to get your knob installed.
This is the black option. We also have a white option. That's got the same dimensions, basically the same product just in white. If you need white for your interior colors, you can find that here at etrailer.com using part number 37220335.The knob is made here in the USA and it does come with a lifetime warranty from JR Products. Very happy that the knob fit the receptacle and is functional. Perhaps not fair of me, but deducting one star for the poor design of the mechanism for the window openers.
