Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the Sash window latch. This is going to replace one worn out or damaged latch on your window or door. Very simple design. It's got your two pieces, your base and your strike.
Essentially, the way this works, you'll get both of them mounted on either side of your window so that when you lower your window into place, this will swing over top and then close down to lock it down so that you can't open up that window or door, wherever you have it mounted. This does come with four screws to get it mounted and it does have a chrome plating, so it's going to be very nice and shiny. Do want to make sure that's going to match your interior color scheme, make sure that this is what you need.Do want to give you a few measurements. Again, to make sure that this is the product that's going to work for you. So if we look at our base here, the distance between our mounting holes from center to center, we're looking at right about one and 13-sixteenths of an inch.
And then on our strike, again, center to center, we're right about one and 9-sixteenths of an inch. This does come with a lifetime warranty, so you can trust that it's going to do a good job for you. If you're in the market, you need one of these, I'd say this is going to be about as good as any out there. It's not necessarily my favorite style of latch, but it should get the job done. And if you're looking to match others with that same style, it should do a good job for you.
