Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at Etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a quick look at the replacement RV emergency window latch set. It's going to come with two latches, one with a right hand configuration, the other one with a left, so whether you have two windows or just one, it's going to replace either configuration that you might have. These are going to be those latches on some of your windows in your RV that are meant to be an emergency exit in case something happens. So this is going to replace that if it got damaged or broken somewhere along the way. They are going to work with most of your emergency RV windows including those that are Hehr-branded latches and it comes with the mounting hardware to get these installed.
Have two mounting holes on either side to get those in place. So we'll get four small screws to make that install.Of course, they are in the red color, so highly visible. As far as measurements are, handles measure about four or, excuse me, about three and five eighths inches long from edge to edge there. Our bracket is about two and a 16th inches long by about seven eighths of an inch wide. There's two and a 16th and then one, or seven eighths of an inch wide.
The tab is going to stick up about an inch away from our handle pivot point. The distance between those mounting holes, center to center is about an inch and a half, so it should match up with any mounting holes you already had if it was an inch and a half. We open that up. It's going to swing down and allow us to open up that window and keep it closed.These are made in the USA. They are backed by a lifetime warranty from JR products and that's pretty much it as far as our replacement RV window latches goes.

I was happy with the timeline, shipped the same day I ordered. The product was on spec, However when I received the item I discovered they were plastic and not metal as I believed. There was nowhere on the product page that indicated the material and the picture provided looked like the painted metal I expected. Probably good idea to indicate the material.
Feels strong enough, but time will tell. They look fine and certainly better than my old metal ones that are not little worn looking. The plastic should look the same years from now
