The vacuum breaker on this shower valve lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately). A handheld shower head makes it easy to clean mud and sand off of hard-to-reach areas on kids, pets, and even shower walls. And unlike your old unit, the 90-degree design of this vacuum breaker prevents your hose from twisting, bunching, or getting caught on your arm. It also has an anti-siphon device that will prevent your dirty shower water from seeping backward and contaminating your clean water supply. The anti-siphon device consists of an air hole that will drain water back out of the hose.
This valve lets you replace or upgrade the shower valve of your exterior RV shower. Using the inlet shanks, slide the new valve and deck plate in place through the mounting holes of the old, broken valve. Then hand-tighten the included mounting nuts, and connect the hot and cold water lines.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at the Empire Faucets RV Outdoor Shower Valve with the 90 degree vacuum breaker, the dual knob handles, and a nice white finish. Now this is a wall mount RV shower faucet that'll let you upgrade the outdoor shower in your RV or your camper. You can see it has a top mount 90 degree elbow vacuum breaker, and that allows you to attach your handheld shower hose to the faucet. Now, the shower hose is not included, we do sell that separately. What's nice about this is this vacuum breaker prevents the backflow contamination of your clean water supply, and the 90 degree design of this model is to prevent your hose from kinking.
This is a dual handle design, has the nice crystal knob style handles, and it uses a quarter turn cartridge stem which enables the faucet to turn on and off. This is a non-metallic ABS plastic construction. You can see it has a nice bright white color. We mentioned it as a wall mount two hole installation. The inlet shanks right here have your standard male and PSM connections.
Comes with the deck plate and the two mounting nuts are included for installation. Put your deck plate up on there, take your mounting nuts, put it onto the inlets and then you just tighten them down to secure the faucet in place. Now it does require some tile and tub caulk which is not included, you would have to supply that. A few specs on this, give you the width of this. From one end to the other is right at six inches wide, the overall height from the bottom to the top of the vacuum breaker, about three inches tall, and the total depth from the front to where it'll mount up against the wall is gonna be right at three inches.
Now the distance between the inlet shanks right here, center to center, is a standard four inch measurement. And the inlet shank diameter is half an inch. And again, you can see, it's just a quarter of a turn on the knobs. As you can see in my photo, the 90 degree bend eliminated all the kinks and the problems that go with them. Recommend! Be advised, the video mentions and shows a deck plate that comes with it. There is no deck plate in the package. Not needed in my case.
