Today we're going to be taking a look at the Phoenix Faucet's 4 inch dual handle RV shower valve. This unit can be installed as a replacement for an exterior shower valve or it can be used for indoor use. The unit does come assembled for exterior shower replacement with the shower connector pointing up and it should be installed that way. If you're installing this for an interior shower the shower connector should be pointing down and then this will require you to reverse the hot and cold knobs. The unit does feature the dual clear knobs that give the unit a really nice look. It's going to feature the vacuum breaker outlet for connecting the handheld shower.
Handheld shower is not included but the unit is designed to prevent water back flow to help prevent contamination of your freshwater supply. It is made from a durable plastic construction. The base is white in color. The mounting area does require two holes for installation. It does come with the threaded mounting nuts. Your mounting holes are going to need to be separated on center by four inches.
Those connectors give us a length measurement of about an inch and a half long. They're going to have an outer diameter of 13/16ths inch with an inner diameter of a half inch. The shower hose connector. This right here's going to give us an outer diameter of 13/16ths of an inch. Taking a look at the overall measurements, jut measuring the base, going this direction we're looking at about 2 and 1/8th of an inch. Overall length, that's going to give us a measurement of pretty close to 6 inches.
Maybe 6 and 1/8th. The measurement from the back of the base to the outer most point on the hand knobs, that's going to be right around 3 inches. Pretty simple installation. Again, it's got the threaded connectors on here. It does come with the threaded nuts as well as the plastic backing piece. It's also going to come with detailed installation instructions.
These are going to walk you through the installation process step by step. It's going to show you the size of hole that you need. It's going to . looks like it needs to have a one inch diameter, should be about 45 to 48 inches above the floor line in installing indoor. If outdoors it's going to be a replacement and . but again, installation instructions are included. On this side it's going to go over some operating instructions. It's going to go over some cleaning tips. Some helpful hints. Just some cautions that as being the owner you'll need to be aware of. It's got a parts list on the back there as well. Its working fine. So far so good.
Removed the old one with easy instructions installed the new one. Perfect fit and quality product.
Product as advertised. Installed and works great. However, I wonder why I paid $13 for priority mail when it shipped 2/19/18 and arrived 2/26/18. You may want to ask USPS about that.
